We are seeking an experienced, strategic and results-driven Regional Vice President Marketing & Sales. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving strategic growth, brand visibility, and admissions revenue generation across a diverse set of West Coast parks and properties. This role requires strong leadership and a deep understanding of the outdoor entertainment and hospitality industries who can advance compelling marketing and advertising strategies, through brand experience influence to achieve West Region sales, attendance and admissions revenue goals.

Salary Details:

$183,750.00/Yr- $245,000.00/yr., based on relevant experience

California’s Great America and South Bay Shores (Santa Clara, CA)

Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA)

Knott’s Berry Farm and Knott’s Soak City (Buena Park, CA)

Knott’s Hotel & Knott’s Marketplace (Buena Park, CA)

Hurricane Harbor Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ)

Six Flags Mexico City and Hurricane Harbor Oaxtepec (Mexico City, MX)

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Responsible for delivering West Region attendance and admissions revenue, hotel/resort/campground room nights and revenue in alignment with corporate objectives to support overall West EBITDA goals.

Responsible for directing and presenting the annual West Regional Park/Resort Marketing & Sales strategic plans aligned with corporate objectives and tailored to regional market dynamics, needs and opportunities.

Leads the West Regional Brand Marketing, PR, Digital Content & Social Media and Sales leadership team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, respect and execution across respective disciplines, parks and properties.

Provides recommendations to the Regional West SVP to inform timely investment decisions for marketable new ride capital, events, entertainment, food/beverage, retail, extra charge experiences and partnerships using brand and guest research data that support the West Region’s business & brand goals.

Identifies new opportunities for revenue growth, incremental audience penetration based on data, competitive and strategic marketing partnerships.

Brand Management:

Oversees brand positioning, its evolution and implementation for West parks and properties, to effectively reach target consumers and strengthen brand equity.

Ensures consistency in brand voice, visual identity, and messaging across all parks and properties.

Leads naming, visual identities and market positioning for new capital and guest experiences to enhance market appeal, awareness, and comprehension among target consumers.

Provides regional communications leadership and approval for all earned media opportunities or any crisis communications, statements for the West parks and properties.

Marketing Campaigns and Initiatives:

Oversees the development of West Region roadmaps to direct external agency partners, internal creative, shared services and product marketing teams to support effective marketing channel plans and timely execution aligned with regional business objectives and market dynamics.

Informs and approves region’s annual creative needs and media investment to support business and brand goals.

Approves all regional creative campaign concepts for paid advertising campaigns.

Champions shifts in creative strategy or media investments based on sales trends, campaign performance and ROI.

Ensures effective marketing/communications integration and execution occurs between Regional Brand Marketing, PR, Digital Content/Social Media & Group Sales teams with the support of product marketing and shared services teams, pricing, planning & design, entertainment, F&B and retail partners.

Directs marketing partnership of large sponsors such as Coca-Cola along with intellectual property partnerships such as Looney Tunes, DC Comics and PEANUTS IP including Coca-Cola media, Peanuts for the West Region.

Sales Performance Optimization & Measurement:

Oversees and approves West Regional consumer and group demand promotional strategy & plan, ensuring advertising, positioning/messaging, pricing and offers are aligned to meet business objectives.

Collaborates with Corporate Group Sales leadership to align regional sales team incentive plan goals with overall regional business performance goals.

Monitors West Region sales metrics and market trends to identify opportunities for revenue or volume growth and/or reactionary promotional or reseller activities.

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) with Corporate Marketing business partners and agencies to measure the success of marketing initiatives.

Prepare and present regular report outs on marketing performance to Regional Leadership team and Park Leaders.

Utilizes data analytics to gain insights and drive continuous improvement in marketing strategies.

Partnerships and Stakeholder Relations:

Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with West Regional SVP and West Regional Leadership team as well as West Park Leaders to enhance brand visibility, drive profitability and align all around marketing initiatives needed to drive sales/attendance, revenue and build the brand and increase the value of/interest in the guest experience.

Budget Management:

Oversees regional operating calendar planning, event timing and establishes regional marketing expense budgets in collaboration with Regional SVP, Regional Finance Director, FP&A, Business Intelligence and Corporate Marketing leadership.

Responsible for overseeing the management of the West Region Brand Marketing & Sales Operational Expense, Advertising and Seasonal/Part-Time Labor budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and resource allocation that supports strategic objectives and business objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

15+ years in senior or executive leadership role in marketing & sales, brand management or communications within the amusement park, hospitality or tourism industry.

Demonstrated success in developing and implementing multi-channel marketing strategies that drive revenue growth, results and enhance brand visibility.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-driven approach to problem-solving.

Ability to travel monthly within the West region and to corporate offices in Charlotte, NC or Sandusky, OH as required.
