Senior UI/UX Designer

will be responsible for the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design of various digital products. This role will be responsible for working with Product Managers and other UX/UI team members on the design of the product's overall functionality. The

Senior UI/UX Designer

will also develop and conceptualize a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for company-wide use, and produce high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.What you’ll do:Manage intake, design, and output of all product development initiatives that require UX/UI input, in collaboration with Product Managers and other UX/UI team membersManage communications on project status and expectations with stakeholdersProcess complex data and turn it into elegantly designed digital reportsIn partnership with content authors, look for ways to improve design of reportsContinually look for innovative ways to visualize data, communicate complex concepts, and improve readabilityLead and collaborate on creation and execution of design and development for new product functionality as business needs ariseCreate conceptual wireframes, storyboards, user flow diagrams, information architectures and prototypes to communicate design conceptsEffectively pitch wireframes to stakeholdersIn partnership with product manager, develop insight about user behavior and transform findings into actionable product and design outcomesCommunicate abstract concepts clearly and confidently across different audiencesBe an advocate for great design practice and adopting new technology, champion customer-centric solutionsCollaborate with team members including product, development, QA, and dataOwn and drive the UX strategy and planning for new product featuresAdvocate for users and user centered design practicesWhat you’ll need:Experience, Education & Certifications:High School Diploma or GED8 years of experience with UX and UI design projects5 - 7 years of experience working with agile software development teamsPrevious experience leading or mentoring junior developersExpert level experience with Sketch, Abstract, Zeplin and Adobe PhotoshopExperience prototyping using Axure, Framer, InVision, After Effects or pen and paper and conducting usability testsExperience using data to inform design and product decisions as well as optimize and iterate to improve performanceExperience with a variety of UI design patterns including Google material design and iOS human interface guidelinesSkills:Advanced skills in the following: User Centered Design methodologies; creating mock-ups and prototypes at varying levels of fidelity; UI design, including current industry best-practice in UI standards, and Accessibility requirements, for web and mobileStrong design and typographic skills with a visual aptitude (color theory, and layout)Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JS) is a plusKnowledge of JS framework (Angular, Bootstrap, React, Node.js) is a plusPassion for user experience and designEven better if you have...Experience with web and mobile design accessibility standards (Section 508 Compliance, WCAG 2.1+, etc.) for users with visual and cognitive disabilities a plusWhat’s in it for you:Health and Life Insurance PlansDental and Vision Plans401(k) with a company matchPaid Time Off and Holiday PayMaternity/Paternity LeaveCasual Dress EnvironmentTuition ReimbursementMTM Perks Discount ProgramLeadership Mentoring OpportunitiesSalary Min: $100,000Salary Max: $130,000This information reflects the base salary pay range for this job based on current national market data.
