We are seeking a passionate senior-level engineer with at least 6 years of experience delivering innovative software solutions to external customers with User Interfaces (UIs) that are highly engaging, scalable, secure, and easy to maintain. This role will entail enhancing existing applications as well as building towards our next generation of experiences.Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain data-driven web applicationsMentor and pair with members of the engineering team on internal and external frameworks, software development best practices, and new technologiesGather technical requirements, sequence technical iteration, and be an active participant in team planning exercisesCollaborate with Forge’s product, design, information security, and business team membersDesign, build, and maintain automated unit and integration testsDevelop concise, articulate, and detailed documentationRequired Qualifications:6+ years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent years of working experience in the fieldExperience developing React frontend applications in JavaScript or TypeScript for external customersExperience developing multi-tier web applications using modern techniquesProven track-record of teamwork and delivery, with demonstrated examples of supporting and guiding other team members past engineering blockersExperience partnering with UI/UX designers and leveraging design systems, component libraries, charting libraries, and tables/gridsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) techniques with web frameworks such as Next.js or RemixExperience with React’s Material UI (MUI) component libraryExperience with Nivo or Recharts charting librariesExperience scaling and modernizing real-time customer experiences and upskilling teamsFintech, Financial services, or other highly-regulated industry experienceFor residents of San Francisco/Bay Area, CA or New York, NY the annual salary range for this role is $160,000 - $190,000 base salary + bonus & equity. This range reflects variations in demonstrated experience and expertise.Forge implements a mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, which applies to all employees.
