Consequently, the first part of the journey in thisrole in our Company will involve coordinating the construction, and the implementationof new processes, as well as participating with the development of ahigh-performance team and coordinating all aspects of the factory setup toprepare for production. In the interim, there may be international travel fortraining at other Siemens-Energy facilities.This role is for individual contributor, responsible forpreparing Master layout Designer of Power Transformer & Technical summaryof Power transformers Customer Specifications as well as for achieving designinnovations and the optimization of the end products in compliance to SiemensEnergy design rules, quality standards, cost position and time schedule.Candidate will be responsible for Mechanical Design for order execution(detailed design) as well as for customer documents/drawings of Tanks &Externals for Power Transformers at Siemens Energy Transformers Factory atCharlotte, North Carolina, USA.**Your Tasks & Responsibilities are as below:**+ Preparemaster layout in collaboration with electrical, leads, tank and clampingdesigners.+ Definethe dimensions and shape of tank after analyzing the transport profile,active part dimensions, leads routing etc.+ Definethe placement of active part, bushings, tap changer, internal and externalclearances+ PrepareTechnical Specifications & order tanking components like fans, pumps,radiators, valves, accessories, hardware etc.+ Learntransformer design rules and use of design calculation tools related toactive part, leads, tank and other structural parts+ Performmechanical calculations like stiffener, lifting, centre of gravity, oil& weights etc. and sizing/selecting of accessories like MOG, fan,pumps, terminals, cable routing, breather, valves, bellowsetc.+ Performadvanced calculations like structural, seismic (eg. using ANSYS, CREOsimulate)+ Use 2Dand 3D CAD software to model designs and individual parts to support thegeneration of engineering drawings and prepare bills of material.+ Understandcustomer specifications and project requirements and prepare technicalsummary/order datasheet to be used as an input by the electrical,mechanical and control/wiring design engineers.+ Prepare/guidepreparation of customer documentation like general outline, foundation,shipping/transport, valve schedule, etc.**Requirement for thisrole:**+ Bachelor’sor Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering preferred+ 6+years working experience as a Master Layout designer or Tank designengineer or Leads designer for Power Transformers above 100MVA/220kV+ Strongconceptual knowledge and working experience in preparation of masterlayout deciding shape of tank, transport profile, active partdimensions, leads routing, and defining the placement of active part,bushings, tap changer, internal and external clearances.+ Understandingof power transformer customer specifications and site/projectrequirements.+ Familiarwith the American & international standards (eg. IEEE, ANSI, IEC)related to transformer+ Userof 3D CAD software (eg. CREO/PROe/Inventor), PDM Link or Teamcentre,2D CAD (eg. AUTOCAD) and software tools to create Bill of materials eg.SAP+ Detailedknowledge of materials and components related to tank and externals**KeySkills:**+ Excellentwritten and verbal communication in English is necessary.+ Self-motivatedto produce high quality results within the time allocated, with limitedsupervision+ Effectiveco-ordination with sales, electrical, mechanical and control designengineers+ Experiencewith SAP is an added advantage**About the Team****Grid Technologies**Our Grid Technology division enables a reliable,sustainable, and digital grid.
