Join us as we digitally connect the world and shape the future.**The Role**Senior Director, Customer Innovation & Business Value, is a senior leader that will provide the organization with the operating model strategy (people, process technology and data) to deliver business value selling strategies for strategic partnership and top of pipe enterprise opportunities. This Global Sales leader will perform in an architect/operator capacity, building the Value practice while executing pre-sales value engagements on strategic deals to deliver revenue, learnings and insights into opportunities for repeatability and scale.​**The Main Responsibilities**+ Demonstrate as SME in the areas of Business Value Strategy and Return on Investment propositions, articulating the economic impact story in the context of how Lumen digital capabilities deliver value to users and Lumen’s customers end customers​+ Design and facilitate participatory workshops, stakeholder interviews, user research, and prototyping exercises to establish and refine Value generation​+ Serve as provocative problem solver , helping the team to structure and illustrate information in a concise and impactful manner and identify value themes​+ Collaborate across the business; pursuit teams, product management to define and implement innovative solutions and process improvement for the client deliverable, product direction, experience and workflow​+ Engage directly with customers and account teams to socialize, prepare and execute the value alignment workshops (first mile)​+ Work with designers and strategists to create compelling work products to communicate customer vision​+ Lead multiple, highly complex engagements across various functions, which ultimately coalesce into one comprehensive model for engaging customers in a Value based oriented sales motion​+ Design and Land the Operating Model for Strategic Sales Value practice– define architecture for Value Advisory offerings, including the practitioners (blueprint), processes and tools/data required from incubation to mainstream, service model for engagement and tools required for tracking success across the Business Value lifecycle (value alignment, value quantification, design for value and value realization).​+ Design Sales Scenarios highlighting unique Lumen value proposition and incubate/test with customers, learn and adjust for repeatability and scale​+ Create vision for qualifying strategic pursuits and framework to drive large deal pipeline​+ Work with investment, sales and community engagement teams to develop, plan, track and implement a range of long-term investments and drive long-term program sustainability​**What We Look For in a Candidate**+ Proven track record of leading commercial pre-sales and/or consulting pre-sales teams driving business relevance conversation with end customer to develop early sales pipeline.+ Communication: Excellent presentation, speaking and writing skills with the ability to effectively communicate a compelling vision and complex technical concepts to a broad range of audiences, including the C-Suite. Collaborative team builder with experience working across multiple business units to achieve results.+ Interpersonal Skills: Able to form strong working relationships that bridge technical and business functions and obtain buy-in across complex organizations. Demonstrated ability to quickly establish trust with customers and engage with a shared vision for transformation and success.+ Organizational Agility: The ability to overcome business and technical hurdles, demonstrating the business benefits and operational path required to achieve change. Able to maintain focus on objectives while also managing through ambiguous and dynamic business environments. Comfortable working in both a direct and matrixed operating structure.+ Technical Knowledge: Possess knowledge of Cloud, Enterprise Architecture and Design. Experience in and leading Architects responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructures, enterprise architectures, data and application frameworks, IT operations, and industry compliance standards.+ Approach: Highly proactive, consultative, creative and positive with a can-do attitude even in the most difficult circumstances.+ Strong continuous improvement mindset and passion to identify or develop strategies to maximize operational efficiency and return on investment.+ Work experience: Minimum 10 years of success in the Enterprise sector leading and managing large virtual teams (20+ people) in the business relevance and value realization technology arena including work in a sales, finance and information technology environments.+ Education: B.S. or equivalent work experience in the private sector or military. MBA or related graduate degree is a plus.+ Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% of the time is req.**Compensation**The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location.
