The Production Technician for liquid area will be responsible to create Cell Culture Media designed to support the growth and expansion of human cells. It is expected to produce high-quality liquid media in the requested quantity, quality, and time limit as per customer application and expectations. Must be able to run end to end cell culture media liquid process and techniques following strict cGMPs practices in a control environment.Essential Duties and Qualifications:+ Weighs raw materials and prepares liquid chemical formulations with precision and accuracy.+ Responsible to fill the solutions into sterile packaging materials (bottles and bags), following aseptic techniques.+ Operates chemical processing equipment such as scales, mixers, pallet tank, autoclave, washer and performs applicable verifications.+ Must be able to work in laminar flow hoods, isolators or similar equipment that provides an aseptic working environment.+ Performs various process test with specialized equipment for in-process verifications. Responsible to set-up, operate, monitor and clean analytical instruments such as Osmometer, pH meter, Sartoflow-Diafiltration equipment and among others.+ Collects samples for microbiology and analytical testing to be used for final product release and in-process testing.+ Maintain sterile conditions to prevent contamination and ensure the integrity of Liquid media.+ Handles hazardous materials (for example Acids) and waste as appropriate.+ Performs assembly and disassembly of equipment parts for cleaning and prepare sterile tools as per process applicable. Consistent proper techniques for cleaning and handling are required to prevent cross contamination.+ Responsible of running the equipment and process efficiently to meet established goals and quality.+ Identifies, troubleshoots, and assists to resolve complex issues. Uses independent judgment in troubleshooting and problem solving under little/no supervision as needed.+ Monitors temperatures, pressures, and related controls as applicable.+ Identifies potential issues in the cell culture media process (quality, safety, performance); report findings to team management and members for resolution.+ Collaborates during non-conformance investigations, including reporting/documentation.+ Provides meaningful feedback to engineering and management team on improvements to our process, documentation, tools, and test equipment.+ Supports engineering during validation and characterization activities.+ Uses the appropriate PPE consistently and follow safety procedures. Know and respect the safety rules related to equipment, people, and environment.+ Documents cell media process activities accurately and in a timely manner (Ex. Batch Record, Forms, Cleaning, Logbooks, others) following cGMP practices.+ Participates in the implementations of special projects.+ Works in a clean room environment following expected behaviors.+ Uses specialized material handling equipment following equipment and safety precautions.+ Must be flexible to be cross-trained and able to run any of the cell media process steps as per business need.+ Ensure the laboratory is well- stocked managing supplies as needed.+ Provides training support for on-boarding and/or new procedures.+ Makes effective decisions relative to position requirement.+ Assists with inventory counting activities as required.Education / Experience / Skills:+ Bachelor’s degree in science microbiology, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology preferable with a combination of >1 year of experience in an industrial or laboratory environment. Experience in cell culture media, Liquid Media and pharmaceutical experience preferred.+ Previous experience with walkie stalkers, forklifts or similar equipment preferred.+ Chemical handling experience and/or knowledge.+ Experience in aseptic filling techniques.+ Ability to interpret data from process and equipment functionality.+ Basic statistics knowledge and mathematical operations.+ Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.+ Ability to respond to visual and audible queues.+ Perform quality checks.+ Good presentation, documentation, and reporting skills.+ Good verbal and written communication skills.+ Computer literate. Experience with SAP preferred.+ Continuous Improvement knowledge preferred.+ Ability to speak and write English/Spanish fluently.+ Collaboration and team spirit.Driving our future growth requires talented people.
