Our team members are as diverse as they are talented—each bringing a unique perspective to an environment that encourages coloring outside of the lines, speaking up, and collaboration—and we’re ready for you to join our team!The PR & Events Associate Manager will be responsible for supporting integrated marketing communication initiatives, including PR strategies, influencer relations and events.You’ll work closely with the Director of IMC to build programs that will drive the most buzz, engagement, conversation, and conversion, as aligned with business objectives and goals. Responsibilities will include overseeing ongoing PR initiatives, event execution and influencer seeding strategies.This candidate will be highly collaborative with cross-functional teams and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, with strong project management skills and timeline organization. The ideal person will have proven experience in PR, marketing, events and/or influencer relations.**RESPONSIBILITIES****PR (50%)**+ Grow and foster media/talent/celebrity/artist relationships to drive brand favorability and advocacy+ Liaison with the PR agency of record to complete weekly action items and serve as contact for all admin needs (e.g., sending press materials, images, saving progress reports, monitoring weekly press results) for both the U.S. and Canada+ Coordinate deskside meetings and assist in VIP appointments inclusive of editors, influencers, celebrities, makeup artists, agents and more+ Research and discover executive/brand business media and speaking opportunities to amplify thought leadership strategy+ Assist with editorial storytelling, interview responses, and marketing assets as needed+ Support brand-to-brand outside partnerships with the Director andassist in the day-to-day execution of such campaigns+ Own celebrity makeup artist outreach strategy to build + foster relationships+ Assist Influencer Manager with influencer mailer strategy including timelines, list development (inclusive of niche communities e.g. derms + skin experts), execution, and new talent adds+ Serve as the trend-forecasting expertfor the larger team; ideate engagement opportunities across PR, social, and influencer based on trends, industry news, and relevant happenings+ Own the reporting and key learnings of Google Analytics (e.g.identifying what drives sales and traffic across organic and paid) to better equip the Consumer Engagement and DTC e-commerce teams**Events (40%)**+ Assist with the planning and execution of all editor, influencer, retailer, and consumer events+ Ideate creative experiences and activations that leverage the brand philosophy and align with the product or campaign strategy+ Support Murad’s philanthropic and sustainability campaigns/activations throughout the year+ Manage creative requests and timelines for asset creation by creating briefs and copy development+ Liaise with the social media team to work closely on organic content for Instagram and TikTok to support experiential events and activations**Always On Support (10%)**+ Maintain PR product closet+ Track new product forecasts and ensure products are shipped from warehouse to office once available+ Assist in product send-outs for key editors, influencers, makeup artists, agents and more+ Stay up to date on current beauty trends and news across key outlets and social media+ Identify new social platforms and tools, monitor competitors and other social media leaders for learnings, insights, and best practices to remain a leader in skincare**REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS**+ College degree or equivalent – in comms, PR, or marketing a plus+ 3-4 years of related experience, e.g., public relations, digital marketing, social media, influencer marketing, and program management; brand/beauty experience a plus+ Demonstrate proactivity and detail-oriented with a curiosity to learn; thinks strategically and thrives in a fast-paced environment+ Team player who is highly organized with project and campaign management skills+ Highly collaborative with the drive to complete projects on time and with excellence in tandem with cross-functional teams inclusive of marketing, influencer, and social teams+ Excellent communication and writing skills, and strong creative judgment to recognize what is on-brand and on-trend+ Passionate about pop culture, enthusiastic about forging relationships with editors, influencers, and tastemakers+ Active daily life in digital and social media, very digitally savvy and curious+ Must be available to work 2 days a week in our El Segundo office**WHAT WE OFFER:**+ Unlimited Paid Time Off+ Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance+ FSA/HSA+ Life/Accident Insurance+ Employee Assistance Program (EAP)+ Professional Development Resources+ 401(k) Employer Match ProgramThis position is based in our El Segundo, CA headquarters, which is currently 40% hybrid onsite/remote work.The expected base salary for this position is $70,000 to $75,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.
