The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:+ Providing technical leadership, direction, and support for the overhead distribution design team on projects ranging from 2.4kV to 34.5kV overhead and underground utility distribution projects.+ Mentoring, coaching, and developing team members+ Serving as the primary technical point of contact for the client+ Implementation of quality control processes+ Supporting proposal development+ Leading coordination and communication of project requirements & schedule needs across disciplines+ Identification and communication of technical risks associated with projects+ Oversight of production work required to meet deliverable milestones+ Identifying, developing, and communicating processes and tools to increase efficiency across team and department+ Creating, improving, facilitating and teaching training courses to the project team and department+ Other duties as assigned.**Qualifications** The ideal candidate will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients as well as provide technical leadership, guidance and instruction to project teams.+ Bachelor's degree in engineering from accredited program.+ 3 years related distribution line design experience (completion of master's degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of experience).+ Successful completion (i.e. passing) FE or EIT highly preferred+ Professional engineering license (PE) highly Preferred+ Knowledge of overhead and underground construction methods and distribution system equipment.+ Experience conducting distribution field inspections.+ Understanding of distribution power flow.+ Experience with various distribution design tools, as well as CADD and GIS to aid in design.+ Familiarity with topographic mapping & surveying, and subsurface utility engineering/utility locating procedures and practices.+ Knowledge regarding easements, right-of-way, and permitting.+ Ability to effectively lead project teams.+ Excellent written & verbal communication skills.+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.+ Experience in scheduling and budgeting.+ This position requires an experienced and competent individual capable of successfully solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.+ Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE a plus.+ Consulting or utility experience preferred.+ This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filledEEO/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans**Job** Engineering**Primary Location** US-PR-San Juan**Other Locations** United States**Schedule:** Full-time**Travel:** Yes, 15 % of the Time**Req ID:** 243352**Job Hire Type** Experienced #LI-JH #T&D
