DescriptionThe Ads Security organization at Amazon is dedicated to creating innovative technical solutions that detect, assess, and mitigate security risks within Amazon’s Advertising businesses. Our vision is to accelerate the development velocity of the Advertising business by ensuring that our products are inherently secure. We are looking to hire a Security Engineering Manager that has experience in leading the technical conversation, guiding the security decisions while building large-scale, complex system security services. You will work with a diverse, multi-disciplinary security engineering team to determine the requirements and set the bar for our security best practices and systems development.Key job responsibilitiesAs a Security Engineering Manager within Amazon’s Ads Security team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that applications across numerous Ads platforms are designed and executed with the highest security standards to maintain customer trust.• Work with our peer teams and customers to design suitable software & security systems and interfaces to fulfill the mission needs.• Collaborate with security and software engineers on embedded and software solutions to drive Ads’ secure development and operational practices.• Drive secure by design architecture• Provide vision, coaching, and direction across a variety of security domains spanning proactive and operational security including application security, detections, logging, auditing and governance.• Utilize AWS and other Amazon technologies to build high-available software services• Set and clarify requirements and expectations with your team, peers, and customers.• Drive creation of mechanisms from a security, quality, and speed perspective that enable Ads Security to scale.Basic Qualifications- 7+ years of industry experience with hands-on security engineering experience- 5+ years leading, managing & developing high performance teams. (inclusive of coaching and mentoring)- BA/BS in computer science, information security, related discipline, or equivalent work experience.Preferred Qualifications- Previous experience in the advertising technology industry or related fields- 7+ years Software Development or Software Development Management experience.- Hands-on knowledge of information security technologies such as security design review, threat modeling, risk analysis, and software testing techniques.- Excellent written communication skills, with a focus on translating technically complex issues into simple, easy to understand concepts- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operational excellenceAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $157,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $272,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
