OverviewNew York Medical College (NYMC) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Creative Communications and Production to join the Office of Public Relations (PR). Reporting directly to the Vice President of Communications and Strategic Initiatives, this position is responsible for leading all graphic design, branding, photo shoots, and project management for the Office of Public Relations. The Director works closely with all members of the Public Relations team as well as all departments and schools to visually represent the NYMC brand and manage communications projects. The Director will manage projects from conception through delivery, ensuring alignment with NYMC’s brand identity and strategic goals. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for campus stakeholders and coordinate efforts across creative, editorial, and administrative teams ensuring projects are kept on deadline and budget. As the lead designer, this position will create all invitations, graphics, templates, and branded materials, and ensure all communications effectively display the NYMC brand.ResponsibilitiesDesign and Branding:+ Lead the design of all communications, invitations, advertisements, graphics, merchandise, and branding materials for NYMC. Serving as the primary designer for all electronic publications and invitations.+ Produce brochures and materials including fact sheets, at a glance brochures, annual public relations highlights deck, and more.+ Create design templates for invitations, newsletters, presentations, and more in Canva and PowerPoint.+ Serve as brand ambassador ensuring all communications adhere to the College’s style guidelines.+ Oversee the implementation and management of NYMC’s visual brand, updating style guidelines as necessary.+ Working with outside vendors and freelancers on print and electronic communications to provide branding collateral, review and approve creative contentProject Management:+ Manage all incoming project requests, adding and guiding them through the public relations department queue.+ Utilize Mondays as a project management tool to track, prioritize, and schedule communications projects.+ Coordinate with NYMC schools and departments, vendors, and the PR team to ensure timely and successful project completion.+ Act as the primary liaison with vendors for obtaining quotes, managing projects, and overseeing payments.+ Create and schedule all invitations and campus wide communications in Constant Contact.Creative Oversight:+ Approve all creative content across NYMC’s schools and departments, ensuring alignment with the College’s branding and strategic objectives.+ Collaborate closely with the PR team to provide visibility into project progress and quality control.+ Manage photo shoots and field requests for images and creative content, ensuring high-quality and brand-consistent results.+ Oversee the image library to ensure inclusive, multifaceted, current as well as historical images are available that represent the organization.
