Summary:

The Business Development and Marketing Assistant is a key team member within the Marketing Department. The Assistant supports the regional Business Development and Marketing team with a variety of activities focused on promoting the lawyers and practices in the region and enabling client engagement, as described below. They take an active role in learning about the lawyers, practices, and clients of the Firm and work closely with colleagues across offices and functions to assist with a range of integrated business development and marketing efforts. Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinates the production and distribution of various legal updates sent to clients, including formatting documents for print, web, and email, obtaining appropriate approvals from lawyers and colleagues, posting to the website and other databases, and creating post-distribution readership reports Works with the marketing team to plan and execute Firm sponsored and hosted client events, including distributing invitations, processing registrations, maintaining registration lists, coordinating the production of event materials, staffing the events, and assisting with post-event follow up Supports the offices client entertainment activities, including management of the Firms ticket assets and allocation system Coordinates with the Digital Communications team to maintain website content and execute social media campaigns Assists in drafting internal announcements as well as news items for the website and social media platforms Assists with the preparation and tracking of regional awards and rankings submissions Coordinates sponsorships for regional conferences and seminars Coordinates with the Creative team to develop and distribute event invitations and sponsorship ads Drafts and updates lawyer biographies Coordinates professional photos for lawyers Manages office inventory of client gifts Generates and updates marketing materials as requested by Department members, such as brochures and presentations Maintains the Firms CRM system: tracks activities for clients, alumni, and friends of the Firm; ensures that contact information is accurate and up-to-date and that contacts are associated with the proper mailing lists; generates and formats reports as needed; and guides secretaries in the effective use of the CRM system Assists in maintaining and updating marketing department databases and records to track regional events, rankings and awards, experience, team calendar, etc. Performs basic research and data collection on clients and contacts, industries, and competitors Maintains accurate records for marketing expenses and prepares payment requests for approval Assists with the Marketing Departments support of other Firm departments (HR and Recruiting, CLE, Diversity, Pro Bono, etc.) Interacts with vendors as needed Administrative and other projects as assigned New York Applicants: Salaries may vary by location. In New York, the estimated target salary range of this role is $59,000 $65,000, in addition to bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefit package. Salary determinations are made based on numerous factors, such as, but not limited to, the relevant market and the skill, experience, class or graduation year, and education of the selected candidate.
