Description The Center for Energy and Environment (CEE) seeks a full-time Graphic Designer to work with our Market Transformation team. The role will develop original designs and templates, data visualization, and motion graphics. We seek a highly skilled self-starter with a creative hands-on approach who is responsive, accountable, curious, and collaborative. Must bring exceptional skills to create static graphics, short-form animations, and technical graphics; aptitude for a fast-paced environment; killer organizational skills; attention to detail; and dependability. Accuracy, critical thinking, creativity, and adherence to strict deadlines are crucial. The position will work cross-functionally with the Market transformation department, the home base for our Efficient Technology Accelerator program (etamn.org) and energy codes work. The department works on deploying emerging technologies rapidly and working to make efficiency and low carbon solutions the new normal. We are highly collaborative both externally to achieve these goals and are also highly cross functional with other areas of the organization. This position reports to the Senior Marketing Manager and is a hybrid role.The position has no direct reports. Responsibilities: Design and produce materials and assets as directed by marketing and program leads, which can include: technical illustrations, data visualizations, infographics, website graphics, direct mail pieces, motion graphics, presentations, and more. Translate complex information into accessible videos through digital illustration and motion graphics. Produce and integrate typography, photographs, graphic illustrations, and graphic elements to align seamlessly with the relevant brand standard, depending on the project. Develop and refine staff templates for documents and presentations and assist staff to use templates effectively. Adhere to brand standards and the brand standards of our clients. Resize assets for different devices and platforms (mobile, web, and different social channels). Communicate with vendors and manage any printing, shipping, ordering, etc. Assist on video shoots. Compile and edit footage for videos. Emphasize and address the needs of CEE's end users, consumers, and program participants (UI/UX optimization) in all visual communications, including mobile/digital campaigns. Manage projects thoughtfully, working within appropriate boundaries regarding scope, scale, and budget. Listen well, ask questions, and verbally express clear creative intentions and visual concepts to marketing partners and team members. Design visual assets to support engaging learning experiences and training materials, tailored to the target audience's learning needs, that promote the acquisition and retention of knowledge and skills. Assist on reviewing and editing designed materials from internal or external work. Other duties as assigned or apparent Qualifications/Job Requirements: At least three years' professional experience as a designer with a technical subject matter. Motion graphic experience. BFA in graphic design or related field, or equivalent job experience. Proven ability to manage design projects from conception to completion. Comfortable collaborator who thrives dividing time betwee teamwork and solo work. Nimble responsiveness is a must. Designer will need to prioritize ongoing needs, while building in flexibility to be responsive to constant emerging opportunities (aka "surprises"). Talent for translating complex content into accessible graphics. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator). Familiarity with HTML Must demonstrate excellent time management, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. Compensation Depending upon qualification and experience, the salary range for this position is expected to be between $28-$30 per hour.
