Job Summary:

The Lafayette 148’s internship program provides rising juniors, seniors and recently-graduated college students the opportunity to gain valuable experience working at a luxury fashion brand. During the program, interns will gain meaningful exposure to the business through hands-on learning, team projects, mentorship and exposure to executive leaders. Lafayette 148 is committed to providing in-depth learning opportunities for our interns so that they gain usable, real-life experience in their area of focus.

You will be exposed to the various facets of our Company’s Technical Design Department. As a result, you will learn how the team works cross-functionally with the rest of the company. You will have the opportunity to be a part of our brand and walk away with the knowledge of the inner workings of a Design department in a fashion company.

Responsibilities:

Supporting in creating technical packages with construction details and specifications according to Design’s style directionWorking with the Tech and Logistics team to organize samplesSupport in creating inspiration boardsProvide general support to the Technical Design teamOther assignments/projects as neededDesired Background:

Must be a full-time undergraduate, preferences are generally given to rising Juniors or SeniorsExperience:

Demonstrated academic leadership or extra-curricular activity preferredProficient in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet and basic knowledge of Adobe programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)Outstanding written and verbal communication skillsDetail oriented with a proactive mindset and strong work ethicSelf-motivated with a sense of urgencyTeam player and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentSkills:

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range for this position in New York City is $18.00 hourly.
