HealthStream is seeking a Sr. Manager, Email & Marketing Automation to join our Digital & eCommerce Marketing team to oversee the development, execution and analysis of email campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot). With a primary focus on lead generation, nurture, and retention efforts, the Sr. Manager leverages insights to optimize campaign performance and enhance audience engagement. They will build emails and automations, segment audiences and grow lists, perform testing and deliver insights. This role includes maintaining operational lead and data flows ensuring that CRM integration works as intended.
The Sr. Manager, Email & Marketing Automation role will support HealthStream's internal team of product marketers in executing marketing campaigns with the goal of generating new sales qualified leads and increasing engagement with existing leads. The ideal candidate has experience using Marketing Cloud, Pardot and the Salesforce product suite. The role reports to the AVP of Digital & eCommerce Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
Develop and execute end-to-end email marketing campaigns across multiple solution lines including setting up behaviorally triggered email lifecycle campaigns designed to help activate and retain customers.Segment and manage email lists and definitions, ensuring accurate targeting and personalized communication based on customer demographics, preferences and behavior.Lead & conduct A/B testing on marketing programs to maximize the effectiveness of tools and processesManage email operations, ensuring efficient data flow, targeting, and event tracking.Execute with quality (QA checklist, proofreading, testing, approvals), maintain master email calendar (scheduling, cadence), and monitor distribution (verify successful sends and track lead delivery).Monitor lead acceleration from Marketing Cloud & Pardot to CRM (Salesforce) to ensure complete and accurate data flowWork with key stakeholders to define segments, audiences, frequency and priorities.Act as a strategic partner, providing insights and support for broader marketing objectives.Use data insights to make data-driven decisions and recommend improvements to enhance campaign effectiveness. Provide a point of view for leveraging new marketing and CRM technologies, platforms, and channels to reach and engage with new and returning customer segmentsDemonstrate email best practices, including: subject lines, messaging, creative, and segmentationManage, organize, and prioritize multiple projects at different stages of completion and due datesCompliance with regulations, including: CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.Stay up-to-date with the latest B2B marketing automation practices and tactics and recommend optimal automation utilization where appropriateOther duties as assignedQualifications
Requirements
Bachelor of Arts in Marketing, Communications or related field is a minimum requirement.5+ years' experience in B2B marketing automation and operations and proficiency with Pardot and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Certification a plus.Strong background in email marketing strategy and execution, including lifecycle emails and nurture campaigns. Experience with audience segmentation within Customer Data Platforms is preferredExperience in implementing and optimizing marketing campaigns targeting business decision-makers.Proficiency in A/B testing methodologies and tools to drive continuous improvement.Knowledge of email deliverability best practices, DNS management, and reputation management.Experience analyzing campaigns, data, and reportsPrevious experience working in a complex organization with multiple product lines and solution areasQualifications
