Global footwear company excited to invite a Freelance Accessories Designer to join their team for a 3-6 months contract opportunity with the possibility of full time transition.
The position will focus on the design and development for cold weather accessories (knit scarf, beanies, earmuffs etc), woven scarf, gifting, cut and sew hats
You will work under the design director to create seasonal product lines for ladies, men's and a bit of kids novelty and basics.
Must be a self-starter and capable of balancing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to deadlines and benchmarks.
Major Responsibilities:
Work as part of a team to build seasonal linesDesign product from concept through development and pre-productionPerform trend execution and research and build trend boardsWorks cross-functionally with PD and ProductionGenerates Tech PacksApproves samples through TOPPrepares samples for meetingsKnowledge and experience with CADTracks development and communicate with overseas vendorPossess excellent presentation skillsWork well in team collaborations and support other team members when neededMeet all milestones and calendar due datesQualifications:
Cold weather accessories experience preferred FA and SLG will be considered2-4 years design experience with accessories company creating socks, cold weather, knits, general accessoriesProficient in Adobe applications, particularly Photoshop and IllustratorA self-starter, able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously with attention to deadlines and benchmarks
Freelance Compensation:
$36.00 Hourly
You will be an intricate part of the Accessories design team working in their mid-town Manhattan corporate headquarters.
Hybrid: 4 days in office.
