Designer: Rugs, Soft Goods & Objects

Job Description:

The primary objective of this role is to produce refined, resolved designs of area rugs, pillows, furniture, and design objects based on direction from our Design Director. This role will see developed designs through the product development cycle and will communicate directly with our global network of factories throughout the development process. The Designer will create multiple colorways and designs to sit harmoniously within collections and will marry completed designs with constructions/qualities to satisfy target price points.

Job Requirements:Desire to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary role and wear several hatsFour-year degree in design/art-related field, (fibers, surface design, textile design)Must be highly proficient in Photoshop, InDesign and SketchUp with willingness to learn new software as needs ariseMinimum of 5 years experience in soft goods design (rugs specifically a plus)Experience in handwoven, hand-knotted, digitally printed and machine made rugsFluent in Pantone and ARS color systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEntrepreneurial spirit and an eagerness to learn new thingsIndependent, self-learner, and A+ problem solverHyper aware of trends in the interior design / home furnishings spaceOptimistic and curious demeanor
