We have a fast-paced and fun group that believes strongly in putting the user first and setting a high bar for everything we ship.Our team is seeking a Senior Design Manager to drive the evolution of banking experiences for millions of consumers. This senior-level role within our newly established multidisciplinary design group involves crafting embedded banking experiences from scratch, redesigning existing SaaS banking products, and expanding our FIS design system. As a visionary with a keen focus on user needs, you will shape our design culture and collaborate closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional leaders to ensure the successful launch of high-quality products for our clients and their customers. Additionally, nurturing the growth and development of your team members will be integral to your role, as you collaborate closely with each individual to unlock their full potential.What You Will Be Doing:Foster stakeholder engagement across diverse functions to champion and endorse design strategiesSpearhead the development of innovative solutions targeting user, product, and business challengesDrive the establishment of robust design processes, systems, and cultural normsElevate design quality through insights gleaned from user research and stakeholder inputGuide stakeholders in effectively engaging with product design to attain project goalsAlign project priorities with overarching organizational objectivesManage resource allocation within design projectsCollaborate closely with leadership cross-functional counterpartsCo-develop and execute product roadmaps that align with stakeholder requirementsAdvocate for user needs while fostering operational excellence within teamsLead and coach the design team in navigating complexitiesInspire and motivate teams with forward-thinking guidanceDeliver actionable strategies to drive impactful outcomesWhat You Will Need:Over 7 years of experience leading and expanding high-performance design teams, overseeing both individual contributors and managersDedication to design excellence with a track record of delivering impactful global productsCapable of concurrently managing multiple projects while effectively influencing diverse audiences and fostering strong cross-functional partnerships to align design efforts with broader business goalsComfortable navigating ambiguous situations, employing rigorous design thinking and operational frameworks to address complex challengesExceptional communication abilities, adept at conveying ideas effectively in various settings, from small group discussions to executive presentationsProficient in inspiring and guiding design teams by providing them with crucial business insights, feedback, and directionBring a balanced approach and sound decision-making to strategic conversations, advocating for both user needs and business objectives within your teams and across peers
