Sustainability and innovation are at the heart of all of our sectors which, in North America include Advisory, Built Environment, Energy, Transportation, and Water.Responsibilities will include:Technical expertise in Civil Engineering design including utility, grading/earthwork, drainage, access road design, erosion and sedimentation control, infrastructure design, constructability evaluations.Prepare material quantities (cut/fill volumes, etc.) from the Civil 3D model files.Design to current codes and standards and lead with permitting and coordination from a technical perspective with regulatory agencies.Leads a team of designers and works with Project Managers and other discipline leads on Energy projects. Coordinate engineering/design execution, planning, and interface and ensure that activities are completed on schedule and within allotted task hours. Directs technical staff to work on appropriate tasks of the project while completing higher complexity tasks.Performs and executes technical drawings without supervision. Reviews and supervises drawings performed by others to ensure quality standards are met.Mentors and trains junior design staff on drawings and design software.Create and lead discipline-specific and company drafting standards.Utilize Civil 3D including alignments, profiles, and grading features to produce engineered construction plans with no oversight to solve complex designs.Coordinate with project engineers and other discipline engineers and ensure consistency in execution of project management activities.Manage and assign workload to design staff.Communicate effectively with internal and external teams of clients and team members.The ideal candidate will possess the following:Hold an associates or higher degree or equivalent technical qualifications in CADMinimum of 12+ years' detailed general civil engineering design experience which includes experience in one or more of the following project types: site civil development, solar, roadways, pipelines, stormwater design.Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD (Civil 3D)Strong technical, communication, and design skillsComplete reviews of junior design staffDemonstrated ability to coordinate and work with multi-disciplinary teams; and deal with complex issues and maintain effective working relationshipsOur teams are comprised of bright and enthusiastic people who wish to make a difference to the world that we live in.
