As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving customer engagement, retention, and loyalty within our business. A successful lifecycle marketing manager is strategic, passionate, ambitious, and a self-starter who is eager to drive the business. They excel in leadership, communication, problem solving and analytics.

As a Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you help drive our vision for GOVX to be the starting point when Members shop online. This role will own our communication channels to our members including email, SMS and supporting paid advertising and landing page experiences.

The Lifecycle Marketing Manager role is a great opportunity to learn multiple aspects of a rapidly growing niche ecommerce business. This role has interactions with category management, brand marketing, creative, digital merchandising, customer support and external agency partners allowing exposure to all sides of our business. You will have to successfully work cross-functionally with our Site Curators, Partner Success, Marketing, Creative, Customer Service and Analytics team to maximize orders and traffic. This is a brand-new role for the business to be the advocate for our members - sharing great brands, products and services and offering amazing value.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Own traffic, orders and conversion goals for triggers and SMS programsBe the expert on our members and develop a segmentation strategy that we can implementLeverage existing tech stack to personalize the member journey across various touchpointsReview and analyze existing programs to make data-driven decisions to improve our member communicationOptimize existing email journeys and trigger emails to drive new and recurring traffic/orders to GOVX.comHelp launch an SMS program and incorporate new SMS journeys into existing email flowsDevelop product recommendations block to incorporate into emailsDevelop A/B testing roadmap for emailSupport paid marketing efforts with audience segmentationDevelop a strategy to grow loyalty, referrals and how to better incorporate them into our member communicationsRun weekly email performance meetingsUnderstand GOVX partners and the products we offer to better serve the right brands to our membersHelp support key initiatives and launches of new brands and partners.Understand value propositions for the member depending on where they are at in the funnelIdentify promotional opportunities in existing channels to support paid marketing servicesWork cross-functionally with internal teams (including but not limited to category management, brand marketing, creative, digital merchandising, customer support, product development) to support the performance marketing goals.Recommend business decisions to Senior Management based on market data, internal sales and profitability.Complete business recaps to be shared with senior management quarterly.Identify and shop retail and web-based competition.Collaborate with digital merchants, brand marketing and creative to drive to relevant collection, category or landing pages from email/SMSAbility to deal with ambiguity and make decisions based on what is materially most impactful to GOVX.Key Interface:

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Work Location This is a hybrid position that combines working onsite at the GOVX corporate office in San Diego, CA and working remotely from home. You will be required to report to the office a minimum of three days per week and work a full eight-hour shift each day from the office.
