The Vice President, Business Unit Head, Ophthalmics will report directly to the CCO and will be responsible for hiring, training and leading the Ophthalmics Commercial Team, meeting Ophthalmics Business revenue targets to include planning and implementing all phases of the Ophthalmics annual sales strategies. This position will work cross-functionally with home-office based colleagues in Medical Affairs, Training, Commercial Operations and Market Access. The attributes that are critical for success include collaboration, communication, planning.

This position is located in Princeton on a HYBRID Work Week: 3 days in office; 2 days remote.Responsibilities

:Lead your marketing and sales team and work with cross functional counterparts to develop strategic and annual brand plansDevelop and drive customer engagement strategies in alignment with brand and BU strategic imperatives and in a compliant mannerAttend regional/national congresses and work with key customers to compliantly drive the Sun Ophthalmics portfolioOngoing demonstration of compliant collaboration, teaming and pull thru across stakeholders (Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, Training and Market Access) to coordinate a consistent company approach to key customers.Work collaboratively with marketing, managed markets and management in order to achieve sales objectivesRepresent and promote Sun Pharma’s products and image in a professional, productive manner while adhering to Sun Pharma compliance guidelinesFollow and be knowledgeable of all relevant laws, regulations and corporate policies governing all activitiesInteracts at multiple levels inside and outside the company. Tact, diplomacy, and a high level of professionalism are essential.Education, Experience & Knowledge:Strategic thinking abilities – demonstrated through a track record of success in developing and executing plans – and a strong sense of urgencyAdvanced Degree in Business or Life Sciences discipline preferredMinimum of 10 years product management and/or sales leadership experience a mustCurrent understanding of pharmaceutical promotional rules and regulations.Work within label, and regulatory and legal compliance guidelinesComprehensive understanding of the Ophthalmics marketplace preferredStrong customer focus and demonstrated ability in developing effective strategic relationships requiredStrong collaboration skills and ability to work proactively with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and other business partnersStrong verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skillsPrior P&L responsibility and GTN management preferredThis individual must have a track record of high performance and delivers exceptional results. They must have strong analytical, project management, fiscal management and decision making skills.They must have a positive attitude and be adaptable to a dynamic “startup” type of environment without losing focus on business goals.
