Position Summary:

The Associate Director, Marketing will play a key role in shaping and executing our global marketing and messaging strategies. This leadership position will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of comprehensive and measurable marketing campaigns, maintaining brand consistency, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic marketing, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, manage, and refine global marketing and messaging strategy and brand framework in alignment with corporate goals.Supervise the development and design of creative marketing communication initiatives, including printed and digital collateral, digital ads, direct electronic mail, and social media campaigns.Oversee the company website and web team, ensuring its functionality, maintenance, and alignment with marketing goals.Oversee the execution of marketing department performance metrics and budgeting, providing insights and strategic recommendations.Lead the creation of annual strategic marketing operational plans in collaboration with multiple departments.Coordinate and manage contributions from marketing freelancers, ensuring alignment with overall marketing strategies.Lead and develop the marketing team, establishing team and individual goals, and providing coaching and professional development opportunities, facilitating cross-functional interaction with Sales and Product Development teams.Identify and analyze potential marketing efficiency improvements and oversee the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).Promote a culture of respect with open, consistent feedback and effective communication within the marketing team.Manage the recruitment and retention of marketing talent, ensuring a high-performing and skilled team.Facilitate and lead weekly marketing meetings, driving discussions, providing updates, and encouraging collaboration.Represent the Marketing department at quarterly director’s meetings, presenting updates and strategic initiatives.

Credentials and Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, business, or a science-related field.Minimum seven years of proven marketing experience, preferably within the life sciences or biotechnology industry.Three years in a marketing leadership role is required.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong knowledge of global marketing strategies, messaging frameworks, and brand management.Demonstrated ability to analyze marketing performance, budgets, and marketing performance metrics to drive informed decision-making.Experience in product marketing, strategic marketing and digital marketing required.Multiple years’ experience working with CRM systems, inbound marketing platforms (Pardot or Hubspot), Google Ads, and Google analytics, leveraging them effectively to increase sales leads and improve company sales revenue.Familiarity with web development and design principles, including website management and optimization, and experience with content management systems.Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging marketing technologies.Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across various channels and stakeholders.Strong planning, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with attention to detail.Ability to be flexible and work within constantly changing priorities.Able to work equally well as a coach, as an individual, and as part of a team.Able to work in a fast-paced environment.Some travel required.
