EducationAssociate DegreeJob DescriptionMuller Engineering Company, a seven-time Top Workplaces designee, is seeking qualified candidates to enhance our team of Civil Engineering CAD Technicians in our Transportation group. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly skilled professional who wishes to play an important role in the success of Muller’s numerous transportation projects throughout Colorado.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide drafting, design and plan production services during planning, conceptual design, final design, and construction phases on a variety of civil engineering projects including highways, intersections, and multimodal facilitiesManage production of entire construction plan package from start to finish for complex projects using OpenRoads Designer (ORD)Work in a team environment with other CAD staff, engineers, and designersImplement and perform select needed tasks without immediate direction of engineerEnsure project deliverable packages adhere to company and client standards with attention to quality, budget, and schedule constraintsReview and correct own work and work of others in accordance with the Muller Quality Management PlanMentor and train other staff in software and plan production proceduresSupport Stormwater, Structures, Environmental, and GIS teams as neededOther duties as assignedJob Requirements
Education and/or Experience Requirements:Certificate or Associates Degree in Drafting/CADD Technology, or equivalent demonstrated experience in civil engineering or related field20+ years of demonstrated experience in civil engineering or related fieldStrong technical knowledge of ORD. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.Experience with CDOT or other state DOT plan preparation procedures and standardsStrong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Bluebeam RevuSelf-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and communication skillsA desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client’s overall project goalsBenefits and Perks100% company paid employee health/dental/vision insurance and shared cost of family insurance (additional buy-up or incentivized HSA available)100% company paid Long-Term and Short-Term disabilityCompany paid overtime and comp time9 Paid Holidays with immediately accruing PTO, increases annuallyProfit Sharing Program, contributions at discretion of Board of DirectorsBonus Program, at the discretion of the Board of DirectorsTuition AssistanceHybrid workplace (w/two computer set-ups), offering a 4.5-day workweekMultiple social clubs, interest groups and eventsSalary range for this position is: $43 to $56 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications
