Have you got what it takes to succeed The following information should be read carefully by all candidates.AMDA is seeking instructors with experience in any/all styles of Commercial Music Vocal Performance (non-classical) and Mainstream Vocal Production as they relate to performance mediums for recording artists.Primary Responsibilities:

Instructing students in crafting vocal performances suitable for streaming/radio play on mainstream formats.Providing creative instruction in accordance with established curriculum, course outlines and class schedules.Create and maintain an environment that emphasizes learning, encourages free discussion of ideas and critical thinking.Evaluating progress of students concerning educational matters and grading student work.Maintaining appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics both online and in-person.Fulfilling professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.Maintaining accurate academic records.Maintaining online Learning Management System (Canvas) and utilizing it to sustain student engagement.Contribution to school community, including:

Committee participation.Active engagement in required trainings and initiatives.Viewing student performances.

Consistent communication and accurate reporting.Qualifications:

Master's degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree (required) in a related field; commensurate performance/professional experience may be considered.Candidates should have relevant teaching experience in a higher education setting.Experience with Canvas LMS preferred.Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.Ability to use effective strategies to engage students in their learning both in-person and online.AMDA differentiates itself from other performing arts colleges by having students learn from "working faculty." Applicants must have performance experience within the industry; preference will be given to instructors with recent/current performance credits.Experience producing vocals, and/or instructing Musicianship, Audio recording techniques, or Instruments is a plus.Position Information:

The regular schedule for this role is based on department needs.The pay range for this position is $40/hour - $60/hour.
