The Health Information Network (HIN) Editorial Lead is accountable for overseeing and executing the HIN content strategy while ensuring all consumer-facing content is high quality, trustworthy and credible. Additionally, content should have a strong science-based foundation and fulfill the HIN platform objective of "health information for all" with an engaging, inclusive and health literacy appropriate presentation of content.The HIN Editorial Lead has a crucial role in shaping the editorial direction and strategy, working closely with the Editorial Operations Director and HIN management team to define and execute our content vision. The HIN Editorial Lead will have the opportunity to innovate on product feature development, drive content creation, explore new ways to enhance our content production processes and deliver exceptional experiences to consumers.This role will also have externally facing responsibilities, overseeing the HIN Scientific and Technology Advisory Committee (STAC), managing our third party content licensing relationships, and interacting with Patient Advocacy Groups on behalf of HIN.**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**Editorial Strategy and Direction: Collaborate with the Editorial Operations Director to develop a comprehensive HIN content strategy, providing input to achieve integrity and credibility from a science-based, medical accuracy and safety perspective. This includes staying updated with new developments and trends in consumer health information to guide:+ Topic ideation for browsable content, deeper dives, and videos aligned with category prioritization and subcategories/topics for depth (e.g., "101" topics).+ Topic ideation for seasonal content or defined campaigns.+ Topic or curriculum ideation to support new features or extend depth for topics.+ Determine response to unexpected health news events (e.g., pandemics, break-through treatments) in a timely manner or insights gleaned from environmental monitoring or HIN consumer search interestsLead engagement with external stakeholders:Chair the HIN Scientific and Technology Advisory Committee (STAC), comprised of external leaders with expertise in clinical medicine, information technology including artificial intelligence, health care delivery, and health care diversity, equity and inclusion. Responsibilities include:+ Recruiting and engaging/contracting STAC members.+ Determining the agenda for ~quarterly STAC meetings.+ Coordinating ad hoc consultation meetings with individual STAC members and members of the HIN management or product teams.+ Develop and enhance relationships with medical leadership of professional organizations and patient advocacy groups to align on shared objectives and identify opportunities to mutually leverage content and program assets.+ Develop and enhance relationships with medical leadership of content partners to identify opportunities to optimize partner assets and capabilities to fulfill HIN product needs.+ Represent HIN in outreach to academic, professional, and health system organizations to support HIN strategic initiatives.Serve as editorial lead for product development and innovation strategic initiatives. Initiatives may include new product features or enhancement of core capabilities. Activities include:+ Input during conceptualization phase regarding HCP and consumer needs and competitive landscape to articulate value proposition of initiative.+ Create framework to approach proof of concept (POC) development.+ Develop or oversee clinical development of POC materials and define resource needs (content assets, personnel, subject matter experts, etc.) for "scale".+ Review engineering team's POCs and enhancements for medical integrity, accuracy, and safety. Examples include:+ Validation of algorithms+ Template creation and enhancements for efficient production of content, image matching.Establish and oversee the Medical Audit process for content. Responsibilities include: Recruiting, engaging, and training qualified medical auditors and editors to ensure:+ 100% of articles (browsable and deeper dives) and 100% of videos are prospectively audited and, when applicable, edited for publication+ 5% of Q&A threads are retrospectively audited with results provided to HIN Architect Lead+ Compilation of quality metrics reports for Core Team review+ Coordination with HIN Architect Lead and engineering team for on-going quality improvement.**HIN Editorial Leadership**+ Provide medical input across functions and workstreams to assure personalization and actions achieve trust and credibility by aligning with current science- or professional-consensus based medical practices.+ Develop material for and actively participate in HIN Core Team activities, such as ATC presentations and HIN workshops+ Stay current on all relevant Pfizer SOPs and guidance documents.**QUALIFICATIONS**Education / ExperienceMD RequiredPhysician with 10 or more years of relevant experience required. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
