​We’re looking for a product-obsessed, highly creative, and innovative outdoor & active designer to help us grow the outdoor and active brands here at Huckberry. This designer will work closely with the Design Director to create a best-in-class product assortment that captures market trends, the latest technologies, and inspires our customer.We are looking for someone who is passionate about all aspects of the outdoor and active industry and has a keen eye for design and technical fabrics. This designer will be responsible for developing a concept for each season and following that concept through to execution. You will be responsible for continuing to drive, innovate, and push our current and new brands forward.Our ideal candidate is drawn to our mission of inspiring and equipping adventures near and far, has a passion for our customer, and can thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment!This role is based out of our headquarters in Austin, TX; relocation support will be provided to a remote hire.Responsibilities+ Drive the product design process from start to finish including; concept, fabric development, lab dip selection, sketching, tech packs, proto review, fit review and final approvals for our House brand activewear categories+ Collaborate with PLM and merchandising team to create a best-in-class assortment that resonates with our customer with support from data and market trends and supports the brand’s strategic initiatives+ Continue to push and innovate the product offering through best in class fabrics and trims+ Partner with the Product development & Production team to ensure design vision is executed while hitting key milestones and metrics like delivery and gross margin+ Lead weekly fittings with tech design to ensure fit and quality standards are met+ Lead the company in market, product, fabric, and trend researchRequirements+ 5+ years experience in men’s apparel design+ Men’s active experience required+ Well versed in activewear fabrics and trims+ Experience in crafting the design vision for multiple categories and brands+ Ability to work in a fast pace, collaborative environment+ Illustrator/Photoshop/ PLM skills required+ Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spiritBenefits+ Medical, Dental, Vision benefits+ 401(k) with employer match+ WFH flexibility & hybrid office+ 30 day paid sabbatical at 4 years+ Summer Fridays+ Company sponsored weekly workouts+ Mental health support+ Paid Parental Leave in every state+ Paid Time Off & Paid Sick Leave+ Paid Volunteer Time Off to volunteer with an organization you're passionate about+ Generous employee discountCompany DescriptionHuckberry is a leading men’s lifestyle retailer and media company.
