The successful candidate will be a collaborative and innovative leader with a passion for building and retaining audiences for orchestral music. Responsibilities include driving and increasing earned income through ticket sales, customer service operations, audience engagement, and patron advancement. The role involves crafting and communicating a clear brand vision, managing multi-platform marketing campaigns, and serving as the chief media strategist. The Vice President will also be responsible for the organization's messaging, including online and social channels, and will be expected to build productive partnerships with arts organizations, nonprofits, the media, and community leaders. Applicants for the Vice President for Marketing and Communications position at the company should have a college degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree strongly preferred, and at least 5 - 7 years' experience as a senior-level marketing professional, ideally in a major orchestra or performing arts organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of marketing concepts, digital marketing, and analytics platforms, and experience in CRM, particularly with Tessitura. Essential skills include exceptional communication, persuasion, and the ability to positively influence both the public and the media. The role requires the ability to work some evenings and weekends, as well as to travel with the orchestra as needed.
