Founding Designer

OverviewAt Benny, we are building software infrastructure to make it easier for the 1 in 8 Americans receiving SNAP dollars (i.e., food stamps) to manage, spend, and earn rewards on their government benefits. We recently launched our consumer mobile application and have an ambitious roadmap ahead of us. We are looking for a Founding Designer to own the future of our mobile, web, marketing, and brand.As our founding designer and early team member, you will help shape our product and strategy, lead design direction across the company, and work closely with product and engineering.ResponsibilitiesOwn the design strategy (brand to product) and contribute to the overall product strategy.Synthesize user feedback and data with the team to help improve the overall user experience.Work closely with Engineeirng and other partners to ship a high-quality product.Assist with mentoring, hiring, and company culture building.TeamWe're a small (five-person and growing) New York-based team with an outsized impact. Our team members have worked at Cash App, Brex, Affirm, Plaid, Uber, and other fintech companies. $180,000, along with a top-of-market equity award.
