In this role, the Sr. Director, Portfolio Marketing and Planning will be responsible for driving the generics portfolio revenue and profitability growth and ensure the value of the portfolio is maximized based on optimal price, market share strategy and risk mitigation. The primary function is to manage all commercial pipeline and portfolio marketing activities. Key responsibilities include forecasting, offer development, demand planning, and implementation/management of sound portfolio process (comprising of, but not limited to, forecasting accuracy, S&OP deliverables, inventory strategy, and revenue leakage mitigation). The Sr. Director will represent the Commercial team in managing the process as well as providing valuable input on budgets and business plans. They will be responsible for achieving company net sales and profitability targets and ensuring cross functional teams are aware of identified gaps and negative variances and develop actions to mitigate. In conjunction with the finance team, the individual will lead and manage the financial forecast for the generics business and keep the executive team updated with variances, opportunities and risks versus targets.

The Senior Director of Portfolio Marketing and Planning will be responsible for maintaining close collaboration and full alignment with cross functional teams to translate business needs into portfolio strategy and actions. This responsibility is realized through four main work streams:

Enhancing the Padagis product portfolio’s value and overall competitiveness;Improving service levels and creating process efficiencies for internal /external customers by driving commercial and operations functions towards agreed upon strategic priorities;Ensuring the maintenance and accuracy of the business financials in discussions with internal and external stakeholders (customers) – timely updating these teams with any changes in dynamics of market conditions and competitive landscapes;Optimizing the portfolio footprint on the one hand by eliminating products that are no longer relevant and on the other hand by supporting gap fill (lifecycle management plan tactics).Note: this position is based out of our Wyoming, Michigan (Grand Rapids area) office with a hybrid work schedule. Fully remote candidates will be considered as well (within the U.S.).

Job duties:

Achieve total net sales / profitability targets;Collaborate with leadership to evaluate and analyze key business drivers, market opportunities and potential risks to proactively maximize profit and drive these to successful commercial execution;Forecasting: Lead a best-in-class forecasting process that utilizes advanced data analysis techniques (including AI) to ensure accuracy and robustness for the entire Generics Portfolio; create presentations outlining the risks and opportunities associated with the recommended forecasts and documentation of forecast assumptions;Create and maintain forecasting models and that all necessary portfolio products are re-forecasted on a regular basis (for budgeting and capacity planning purposes) to ensure accuracy and capture any market changes that could impact project valuation;Establish efficient process to drive cross-functional and senior leadership alignment on key assumptions for each forecasting cycle;Capitalize on product opportunities by proactively identifying opportunities and risks and communicating with a sense of urgency as needed across the organization and driving the appropriate actions;Display a high degree of ownership for the quality and timeliness of new product offers and their fit with the strategic and financial objectives of the business;Contracting - Work closely with Sales to negotiate and complete new contracts and RFPs in a timely fashion with the Contracts team;Provide assistance to drive new opportunities through the identification of new markets and customers. Support BD with efforts to evaluate and value M&A opportunities;Make recommendations to senior leadership about pricing strategies based on customer profiles and historical usage analysis;Conduct on-going reporting of key metrics on the impact of our contracting and pricing strategies on contract access, volume, market share, price erosion, price impact and profitability;Demand Planning and Inventory Analysis - Control and monitor inventory to meet customer demand and achieve the corporate working capital metric of inventory on hand;Develop analysis tools to evaluate pricing proposals and forecasting. Effectively utilize existing data and systems to support these functions. Develop and implement targeted Pricing Actions across segments to proactively maximize profit. Partner with finance, sales, procurement, and other functional areas to identify and deploy operational efficiencies;Supply Chain - Strengthen communications between Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations and Distribution resulting in uninterrupted supply and utilization of Padagis resources.Focus on leadership and the team’s growth and provide them with opportunities to further enhance their careers. Proactively assessing internal talent and identifying gaps leading to appropriate development plans to continually improve the team.Required qualifications:

Bachelor's degreeTen or more (10+) years of experience in an analytical role; ideally in Finance or Sales & MarketingFive or more (5+) years of experience in the pharmaceutical, wholesaler, or consulting industry preferredExperience in managing databases (Excel, Business Objects, PowerBI preferred), building business facing reports and developing self-serve reporting toolsAdvanced Excel skills including proficiency in pivot tablesCapacity to focus on large data sets and distill key factsExperience with Pharmaceutical Sales Data such as IMSOutstanding analytical, problem solving, and creative thinking abilities; enterprising and resourceful, self-starter and team playerExcellent organizational skills and impeccable attention to detailPreferred qualifications:
