Interior Designer

Responsibilities:Collaborate with Stakeholders:

Work closely with ownership, architects, and contractors to understand and achieve project requirements and objectives for multifamily apartment complexes and single-family homes.Assist with Design Selections:

Support the project team with choosing interior finishes, including flooring, lighting, countertops, and more.Develop Timelines:

Coordinate with architects and contractors to create project timelines and establish target dates for deliverables.Evaluate and Modify Designs:

Assess floor plans and make adjustments to enhance aesthetic and architectural appeal.Balance Design and Cost:

Collaborate with the project team and vendors to ensure design and cost efficiency.Blueprint and Site Plan Communication:

Interpret and effectively communicate blueprints and site plans.Prepare Design Documents:

Create and maintain documents related to interior design plans, including finish schedules and specifications.Manage Design Vision:

Oversee the overall vision and style direction through design development, product specification, and installation.Coordinate Schedules:

Work with contractors to develop realistic project schedules, ensuring alignment of expectations among all parties.Data Management:

Enter data from selection consultations, generate reports, and advance the project through subsequent stages.Stay Updated on Trends:

Research and stay informed about industry trends and styles.Material Coordination:

Coordinate material requirements with procurement and update architectural and estimating teams with specifications.Sourcing and SKU Selection:

Assist with sourcing materials and selecting SKUs.Residential

Requirements:

Education:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Interior Design, or a related field strongly preferred.Experience:

Experience in residential construction.Blueprint Reading:

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Design Knowledge:

Understanding of kitchen and interior design principles.
