What part will you play?

Under general direction, the Field Engineer Supervisor will mentor other field engineers and assist in complex technical projects and troubleshooting. Represents field engineering on kickoff calls and reviews technical documentation for viability and implementation assistance.

What will you be doing?

Provide training, support, and ongoing development for Field Engineers from onboarding throughout their tenure.

Perform the tasks of Sr. Field Engineer by traveling to client sites for 50% of the role with the other 50% assisting the regional leader managing the personnel and equipment scheduling.

Point of escalation for technical issues and troubleshooting that may arise on site and communicate issues and resolutions to appropriate parties.

Represents field engineering on project kickoff and escalation calls to alert the project team to foreseeable challenges in implementation and to translate the project requirements to the commissioning team.

Assist PM and project team in communicating network coordination needs and client managed subscriptions.

Review project documentation to ensure all pre-implementation deliverables are complete and communicate to the implementation team.

Implement, train, and enforce company standards on effective and efficient process and excellent quality.

Contributes lessons learned feedback to the install, design, and pre-sales engineering teams to constantly improve system designs, product selection, and implementation.

Maintain and grow certifications and technical knowledge.

What do we require from you?

Bachelors Degree preferred

3-5 years experience as a Field Engineer

Able to concisely, consistently, and appropriately communicate with project teams and project managers

Able to manage multiple additional FEs and Install Techs on large sites; maintain overall project implementation status and reporting.

Able to troubleshoot complex AV and network systems from conference rooms to hybrid-live event spaces

Preferred:

Proficient with Microsoft Office 365

Self-starter and requires little direct oversight to perform tasks

Experience leading teams

Excellent customer service skills

Field installation and/or system design experience

AVIXA CTS

AVIXA CTS-I and/or CTS-D

Audinate Dante Level 3

Biamp Tesira Server and QSC Q-Sys Level 2

Training small to medium sized groups on technical system operation

Work Environment:

Some office, mostly jobsite

Employee may spend most of the day on their feet moving around the jobsite. Must be able to occasionally lift at least 40lbs and be able to climb ladders and stairs. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth vision.

Work may be performed in an active construction site requiring appropriate PPE.

Travel:

Frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required.

Employee must possess a valid driver's license in their state of residence.

Employee will be required to use their own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage at the current corporate rate.

Local travel to job sites (within a 2-hour driving distance each way) will make up 70-90% usually but remote travel can be up to 30% of the job at times.

10% remote travel is required on a regular basis.

Our compensation ranges reflect the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The pay details below range from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience depending on the position offered, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
