We're hiring an Education and Curriculum Writer! (Remote)

The Education and Curriculum Writer is responsible for a variety of writing projects related to education and curriculum, primarily writing curriculum for ages 0-5. The Education & Curriculum Writer role will also write curriculum & teacher resources, contribute to publications and guides for educators and families, and contribute to special projects related to early care and learning such as summer camp or before and after school programs.

What you will be doing in this role:Serve as the lead curriculum writer for 0-5 curriculum that is interdisciplinary, focused on whole-child development, research and play-based, and part of our Discovery Driven Learning framework.

Develop and/or edit print and online content, for internal or external audiences, including early childhood educators and families, related to education and curriculum.

Project manage curriculum writing projects.

Work in collaboration with other teams in the department and other departments including Creative Services and Communications.

Serve as the department voice and editor on joint writing projects.

Manage written curriculum materials and educational guides, including an editorial calendar.

Align all writing with BH philosophies, DAP/NAEYC standards, and our Discovery Driven Learning framework.

Develop and revise other education and curriculum materials, as assigned.

What we hope you will bring to this role:Bachelor's Degree in education, early childhood education, family studies, curriculum development, writing - Required

Master's Degree in education, early childhood education, family studies, curriculum development, writing - Preferred

5 years of relevant writing/curriculum development experience - Required

Additional Job Requirements

Strong background in early childhood education, including experience with NAEYC accreditation

Proven writing skills, publication experience (internal and/or external)

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet rigorous deadlines

Intermediate to advanced computer software skills in Microsoft Office applications

Ability to write for different audiences across multiple platforms

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $69,000

Actual compensation offers will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
