The Department of Music invites applications for the position of Teaching Assistant for the University Gamelan (Music 0690) during the Fall 2024 semester.Duties Include:Assist with classroom setup and maintenanceAssist with classroom instructionHost weekly practice hours for students (1-2/week)Coordinate with venues for performancesHelp with instrument movingKeep a record of student attendance and participationContribute to the evaluation of student progress over the semesterSupport instruction and classroom equityOther duties in support of the course's learning objectives and performance agendaThese duties should average not more than 10 hours/week over the course of the semester, with performance weeks requiring more dedicated time than a typical week.

Required Qualifications: Applicants should hold at least a Bachelor's Degree in Music with experience in the performance and pedagogy of Indonesian Gamelan.Candidates should submit a CV or Resume along with their application.The Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences is committed to building and fostering a culturally diverse environment.
