Description

The National Pork Board in Clive, IA, is seeking a dynamic and team-oriented person to lead our Creative team. The position will report to the Sr. Vice President, Communications.

This position is responsible for overseeing creative and content asset development for National Pork Board communications, from the idea or concept stage through the post-production process. This position will lead the creative process and steward the pork checkoff brand visually, including brand standards and guidelines. Administratively, the ideal candidate will be a great listener and collaborator to NPB staff, state pork associations, vendors and agencies. This work includes direct management and budget planning and oversight of the creative team, video production studio, and print production shop.

Ideal candidates must possess the following skills:

A deep understanding of the creative process (graphic design, illustration, photography and video production.), and experience with digital and web designCandidate should be driven by a creative approach to all work assignments and an interest in executing diverse creative strategies.Ability to lead and work in a team environment, as an internal service provider, and through clear communication with internal teams and vendors.Computer software: Core Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Microsoft Office. Optional: Video editing software (Adobe Premiere and After Effects), HTML.Photo and video production oversight.Requirements

Ten years' experience in art direction, or creative direction, preferably for food/beverage, agriculture, manufacturing, or production-type industries or organizations.Leadership of an in-house design/production team and/or direct supervision of an advertising or digital agency creative services department.Technical knowledge to support state-of-the-art digital print and video production, art direction and staff supervision.

This position may require up to 20% domestic travel by both air and auto and requires a valid driver's license and good driving record.
