Duration: Seasonal/Part-time (Sept/October - December) Fall Semester

Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and outgoing Marketing Intern to support our holiday marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for distributing yard signs and door hangers in target neighborhoods, approaching local business owners to explore co-marketing and referral opportunities, and managing our social media presence. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in marketing and social media, with a passion for the holiday season.
Key Responsibilities:
· Distribute Marketing Materials: Place yard signs and door hangers in strategic locations within designated neighborhoods to increase visibility and attract potential clients.
· Engage with Business Owners: Visit local businesses to discuss potential co-marketing opportunities, such as co-branded promotions and referral programs.
· Market Research: Identify and approach businesses that align with our target demographic for potential partnerships.
· Event Support: Assist in planning and executing community events or promotional activities to boost brand awareness.
· Social Media Management: Create and schedule engaging social media content that highlights our services, showcases past installations, and promotes special offers. Monitor and respond to comments and messages to foster community engagement.
· Customer Interaction: Engage with residents and business owners to provide information about our holiday lighting services and collect feedback.
· Reporting: Keep track of distribution areas, business interactions, and social media performance. Provide regular updates to the marketing team.
Qualifications:
· Currently enrolled in a marketing, business, communications, or related program (or recent graduate).
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Comfortable with face-to-face interactions and cold calling.
· Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) and basic content creation.
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
· Creative mindset with a knack for identifying marketing and social media opportunities.
· Reliable transportation to travel to various locations within the area.
· Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
