As an established and growing company, we are seeking a qualified Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team in Northwest Houston.ResponsibilitiesCreate detailed and clear shop drawings with use of HydraCAD software.Perform hydraulic calculations and system stock-listingUnderstanding and insight relating to current NFPA code standards, national building and fire codes.Review construction contract documents and communicate with MEP sub-contractors and General Contractors/owner to gather the required information to design the project's sprinkler system.Maintain and keep track of bulletin, addendums, ASI's and other project changes throughout the life of the project being designed.Coordinate with other M.E.P trades, and to analytically think through problems and understand if the design of the sprinkler system is feasible and within NFPA code compliance.Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers.Multi-task while designing of various projectsQualificationsApplicant must be detail-oriented and able to perform work in a timely manner to meet deadlines.Have good communication skills and ability to coordinate and work well with others.Valid drivers' license and dependable means of transportation to office and/or jobsites.Computer literate, with experience in AutoCAD and 3D drawing programs, as well as standard Microsoft Office programs.HydraCAD, Revit and/or BIM modeling experienceNicet certification is a plus!
