SHE Media is hiring a Senior Graphic Designer to join our New York-based editorial team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of the digital women’s lifestyle space and a proven ability to produce engaging and on-brand visual elements that speak to an audience of women and moms over 30, as well as be a creative thinker and a team player who can gracefully juggle multiple projects and deadlines.

Reporting to the SheKnows Editor in Chief and working closely with the Flow Space Editor in Chief, the Senior Graphic Designer will oversee the visual aesthetic of our SheKnows and Flow Space brands, creating visual assets across our core categories (including entertainment, parenting, health, style, food and living) as well as working with the EICs on the creative direction of all SheKnows and Flow Space digital issues.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the design & general aesthetic of the SheKnows and Flow Space brands & ensure all images/graphic elements are in complianceOversee the design & general aesthetic of all SheKnows and Flow Space branded content campaigns, working with SHE Media designers to ensure they are aligned with editorial as much as possibleCreate designed Feature Images for all SheKnows and Flow Space feature storiesWork with EICs to design digital issues and destinations, maintaining the SheKnows and Flow Space brand aesthetics, using programs like CerosSpearhead the creative direction, organization, and production of photo shoots, in assistance with Editors-in-Chief and business managerDevelop and maintain a roster of contributors, including photographers, glam teams, styling teams, illustrators, graphic designers, and moreWork with SheKnows and Flow Space social media editors to create a cohesive, branded look on all platforms for both sitesCreate title cards and general design elements for videos, and work with editorial teams to set the overall aesthetic of videos for both brandsDesign tentpole banners and newsletter/email blasts with light HTML inputsRequirements:

At least 5 years of experience at a major digital media companyA deep understanding of the women’s lifestyle spaceA strong eye for visualsA generalist sensibility and proven experience producing quality content across a variety of subjectsA proven ability to perform under high-pressure conditionsExpert knowledge of Adobe Suite programs, primarily Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, and IllustratorExperience with Ceros or Figma

Typical wage range: $75k - $85k

Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.

The total compensation package for this position will include other elements including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
