Senior SEO Manager

to join our growing team. Our clients span a number of industries including Consumer brands, Technology and Tourism. We are headquartered in Chicago and have a beautiful office overlooking Millennium Park and Lake Michigan in a hybrid work environment model (2-3 days in office/week).

*This is a part-time role, 20-25 hours per week, we are open to both permanent and freelance candidates.

SEO Strategy DevelopmentDevelop, implement, and manage comprehensive SEO strategies that align with business goals.Identify opportunities for organic growth, including on-page and off-page optimization, content strategies, and technical SEO improvements.Technical SEO ManagementConduct technical audits to identify and resolve issues related to crawling, indexing, site speed, mobile usability, and more.Oversee the implementation of SEO best practices in website architecture, metadata, schema markup, and other technical aspects.Website Migrations and RedesignsLead SEO efforts during website migrations, redesigns, or launches, ensuring that organic performance is maintained or improved.Work closely with developers and designers to ensure SEO considerations are integrated into site architecture and design.Content OptimizationOptimize existing content and develop strategies for new content that aligns with SEO goals and fills existing competitive and keywords gaps.Ensure content is keyword-targeted, user-friendly, aligned with search intent and meets the needs of Google's algorithm.Data Analysis and ReportingMonitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and third-party SEO platforms such as Ahrefs and SEMrush.Develop and present regular performance reports to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, insights, and recommendations.User Experience Optimization:Analyze and improve website user experience by implementing SEO best practices that enhance site usability, navigation, and accessibility.Ensure a seamless and engaging experience that aligns with search intent and drives conversions.Audit website user experience through data analysis and heat map tools like VWO or HotJar.Client and Stakeholder CommunicationServe as the primary point of contact for clients or internal stakeholders on all SEO-related matters.Clearly explain SEO concepts, strategies, and performance metrics, ensuring transparency and alignment with client expectations.SEO Program ManagementOversee the execution of SEO campaigns, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within budget.Manage multiple SEO projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet project goals.Industry Trends and InnovationStay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices.Experiment with and implement new strategies to keep the organization or clients ahead of competitors.Contribute to the agency's intellectual capital through case studies and blog posts.Competitive AnalysisConduct in-depth competitive analysis to understand market trends and identify opportunities or threats.Use insights from competitive assessments to refine and enhance SEO strategies.Team Leadership and CollaborationProvide guidance, feedback, and support to the SEO coordinator.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content, design, development, and paid media, to align SEO strategies with overall marketing goals.Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of managing successful SEO campaigns.Strong knowledge of technical SEO, including site architecture, crawlability, indexability, and site performance, with experience in HTML/CSS. Hands-on-keys experience with technical SEO tools like Sitebulb, Ahrefs and Screaming Frog,Proven experience successfully managing the SEO activities for a website migration and redesign.Demonstrated success in managing both B2B and B2C SEO programs.Proficient in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog and other SEO tools.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to clients and stakeholders.Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.SEO certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush) are a plus.
