We invite you to learn more about our wonderful community: There's something about Salem, Oregon!Your Role With Us:As a Supply Expeditor for the Sterile Processing Department at Salem Health, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless operations and exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for ordering necessary supplies for the sterile processing department, overseeing purchase orders to ensure timely receipt, addressing discrepancies promptly, and managing backorders to minimize any impact on patient care. Effective communication with clinical staff will be essential as you keep them informed about supply shortages and ensure they have what they need to deliver outstanding care. With a strong attention to detail, you will also participate in inventory management, quality assurance, and fiscal tasks. Join us at Salem Health, where every team member contributes to enhancing patient outcomes and experiences.Key Responsibilities:Inventory Management: Monitor incoming orders and backorders, work with purchasing buyers to confirm orders, and find substitutes for backordered items.Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for SPD staff to relay information on outages, substitutions, and backorders.Recall Coordination: Oversee NRAC recall alerts and ensure timely actions are taken.Supply Handling: Unpack and organize supplies, maintain instrument outdates, and decontaminate items as per standards.Sterilization Preparation: Prepare items for sterilization using correct indicators, labels, and wrapping methods.Sterilizer Operation: Operate sterilizers, run biological tests, interpret charts, and report maintenance issues.Case Cart Preparation: Prepare, scan, and deliver case carts, ensuring all required items are included.Assembly and Handling: Ensure proper assembly and handling of trays, instruments, and drills. Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, address safety hazards, and initiate corrective actions as needed.Total Rewards Offerings:
