Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Director, the Editorial Communications Lead will play a pivotal role in crafting compelling content and strategic communications. We’re looking for someone with a creative mind and a collaborative spirit, who’s comfortable working with cross-functional teams and external consultants to create impactful content for diverse audiences.

Working with cross-functional teams (leadership, data science, strategy, engineering) and partners, write and edit original editorial content for website articles, presentations, public briefings, and other materials that helps elevate and differentiate our brandCollaborate with individual teams to understand technical research and concepts, and translate them into clear, concise, and compelling deliverables for various audiences, including funders, partners, advocates, media strategists, content creators, and broader research communityAssist with transforming complex research into different products for communicating findings and data-driven storytelling, including written reports, stylized slide decks, and interactive web designsSupport the Marketing & Communications Director in the development, delivery, and tracking of content for monthly newsletters, social media, and websites, to engage our audience and drive engagementAnd other duties and responsibilities as needed and as assignedWho You Are

You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative research environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround timesYou have excellent writing, research, and fact-checking abilities, high attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracyYou are able to adapt your writing style and tone for different platforms and audiencesYou see editorial and design as highly complementary and enjoy collaborating with designers to produce engaging communications and contentYou are able to work independently or with a team to meet deadlinesYou have excellent organizational skills, are comfortable working within tight deadlines, and managing multiple projects simultaneouslyYou have proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides (e.g., APA, Chicago)Desired Experience

This is a mid-level position, 3-7 years of relevant, progressive experience is preferred but not strictly requiredThree or more years of professional copywriting experience, with a solid portfolio of work, ideally including scientific or technical writingDetails & Compensation

This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Marketing and CommunicationsThis is a Level 2 or 3 position with a salary between $115K - 130KThere is a generous benefits package, including:
