PFLAG National has more than 250,000 members and supporters and over 400 chapters in the United States. This vast grassroots network is cultivated, resourced, and serviced by the PFLAG National staff, Board of Directors, and Regional Directors Council.Position :The Sr. Coordinator – Digital Content will help create and coordinate content across PFLAG National social media channels, online community, digital communications, and the PFLAG National website. Under the management of the Senior Digital Strategist, they will employ consistent messaging and strong social media and graphic design skills to expand awareness of PFLAG National and its programs, help increase national membership, advance PFLAG’s mission, and help grow PFLAG’s online community.Key Responsibilities:Social MediaUnder the direction of the Senior Digital Strategist, create collateral (text/graphics/video) for social media platforms;Under the direction of the Senior Digital Strategist, create social media toolkits for use by the PFLAG Chapter Network, community partners, and influencers;Monitor PFLAG National’s social media platforms and engage with comments on our posts;Respond to direct messages across all social media platforms;Monitor PFLAG National’s social media feeds and engage with chapter and partner posts as appropriate;In collaboration with Chapter Engagement team, monitor PFLAG chapters’ digital presence, ensuring consistent branding usage;Stay current with changes on all social platforms to ensure maximum effectiveness; andStay engaged with current events to ensure channels remain current, relevant, helpful, and engaging.Online CommunityMonitor PFLAG National Online Community (private Facebook group);Review member request to the online community, ensuring the safety of our members;Facilitate online conversations with users and respond to direct messages across all platforms;Aid in building a flow from the Online Community to PFLAG Connects meetings, PFLAG resources, and both national and chapter meetings; andEscalate trends, recommendations, and/or noted issues from online community to Senior Digital Strategist to inform future decisions, programs, resources, etc.AdditionalOther projects as needed, assigned by Senior Digital Strategist.Key Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience;At least 3+ years of graphic design, social media, or relevant experience;1+ year of online community admin or monitoring experience;Strong ability to work with remote employees (team members are remotely based);Solid computer experience including use of the internet, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office;Software experience with Canva for Teams, and Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator, and video editing software including Adobe Premiere or similar; Sprout Social, or other social media management platforms;Knowledge of and passion for LGBTQ+ issues, DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) practices, and civil rights as a whole;Enthusiastic support of PFLAG’s strategic vision, mission and goals;Ability to interact effectively with remote employees and network;Creative thinker with the ability to own your ideas and follow through on them;Eye for aesthetic design and ability to stick within brand guidelines;Customer service oriented approach (timely, empathetic, on-brand and adherent to brand standards) to community and serving a diverse community;Excellent written and verbal communication skills and time management skills;Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment;Flexibility to travel, work evenings and weekends as needed.This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by the Office and Professional Employees International Union, Local 2, AFL-CIO.Salary and Benefits:

Salary range is $63,813 - $74,203 commensurate with experience, expertise, and other qualifying factors.Position Type and Work Hours :This is a full-time role, typically Mon-Fri, 8 hours per day. This can be a fully remote role or if based in the DC area, a hybrid position, requiring 1-2 days per week in the office. May require occasional local and/or domestic travel.PFLAG
