Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in product design or UX.
Preferred qualifications:
8 years of experience as an interaction designer.
Experience in UX prototyping for web applications, and technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and Java.
Experience designing and leading mobile, desktop professional worker product software or services.
Ability to grow in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work on schedule.
Excellent people management, communication, collaboration, and visual design skills.

In this role, you will collaborate with product managers and engineers to design and prototype solutions. You will be responsible for understanding the user needs to refine the product experience.
Labs is a group focused on incubating early-stage efforts in support of Google’s mission to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. Our team exists to help discover and create new ways to advance our core products through exploration and the application of new technologies. We work to build new solutions that have the potential to transform how users interact with Google. Responsibilities
Influence stakeholders across functions to gain support for design strategies.
Drive the development of innovative design solutions to user, product, and business problems.
Drive a holistic design process, design system, or design language across teams or products.
Provide direction to UX designers in creating design concepts for product ideation and/or user research/testing.
Drive design solutions based on user insights, business needs, and industry trends that further business outcomes.
