In this unique setting, our diverse community of 680 students, including 140 boarding students from over 20 countries, flourishes as scholars, innovators, and responsible global citizens.Position Statement San Domenico School, a K-12 independent school in San Anselmo, is seeking an experienced, dynamic teaching and technical theatre professional for the role of Musical Theatre Production Supervisor for the Middle School and Upper School musical productions. The tentative contract dates are August 2024 through the end of May 2025. *Weekly hours may vary depending on production cycle.Key Responsibilities

Design and engineer audio for musical productionsOrganize and manage student technical crewDesign and construct set and props for productionsEducate and support middle and high school students in all of the above areasThe Musical Theatre Production Supervisor will

Communicate with Director, Music Director, and student stage manager to track technical needs for show, including audio, video, scenic and properties needsPlan production sound (includes engineering house and monitor mixes for 5-6 piece band and 15-20 body mics)Find, record, and edit sound effects for showWork with Director on scenic design for the show within safety, spacial, time, and budget restrictionsCollect and/or create show-specific props and furniture, including loan or purchase and transportation of items or materialsComplete scenic construction with a parent volunteer crew, including but not limited to the use of table and miter saws, sanders, powered drills, and other construction tools and machineryCoordinate with Digital Arts department to find, record, and edit video effects for showCoordinate additional equipment rentals as needed, including pickup and returnRecruit and coordinate student crew, including builders, stage crew, dressers, followspot operators, and VFX/SFX operatorCreate and post technical crew meeting and workday schedulesCommunicate in a timely and clear manner with student crew and adult support (other designers, teachers, parent volunteers, etc)Plan and map out special effects cues and set changes for show, and assign and train student crew accordinglySet up band audio needs (mics, monitors, stands, lights, power, etc) and student body pack microphones for each technical rehearsal and showRun soundboard (house and monitor mixes) for each technical rehearsal and showParticipate in paper tech, cue-to-cue, and all technical rehearsals and showsRecord and present stage crew notesPlan and direct show strike, including organizing cast and crew work assignmentsCoordinate with the Director on production-related purchases and expenses.Maintain a clean and safe environment in the Hall of the Arts building and stageBe available afternoon/evenings and weekends to support productionsCore Qualifications

Must have 4+ years experience in a live audio setting (theatre, music, events, etc).Must have 2+ years of experience in set and props design and constructionMust have 1+ years of experience teaching youth1+ additional year of theatre or event management experience preferredOSHA-10 or OSHA-30 Construction certificationMust be proficient in QLabMust be comfortable using 10+ foot ladderMust be able to lift 50+ lbsPreferred Qualifications

Extensive experience working with 6-12 grade students and parent volunteersExtensive experience collaborating with a creative team on musical theatre productions1+ additional year of theater or event management experienceCompensation The salary range for this position is: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime as per state and federal laws.
