Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group, Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group > Sales - ACIPGeneral Summary:The Director, Global OEM Design-In will be responsible for managing and growing revenue with a large strategic account. This person will work closely with colleagues around the world and be responsible for creating the strategy and execution for driving Portfolio design wins across Commercial, Consumer, Workstation, and Gaming PC segments.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be accountable for developing and cultivating a robust design win pipeline across all OEM business segments. He or she will interface with OEM Product, category planning, segment leaders, and operation teams in the regions to sell-in and create a comprehensive Qualcomm product portfolio. The Director, Sales will work closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams in Qualcomm headquarters as well as teams in the regions. Key responsibilities include introducing and selling the PC OEM’s Qualcomm portfolio of products to the PC OEM’s Product and Planning teams, segment teams, marketing teams and category teams. The candidate will be expected to be knowledgeable and able to communicate the Qualcomm product roadmap in technical depth. This role will also take lead on NRE contract development/execution, and be accountable for working with product team on strategic pricing proposals.Skills/Experience10+ years of sales, product management or business development of complex technology products in compute businesses with knowledge of global dynamics of ODMs, OEMs and certificationStrategic account management expertise, the ability to manage change and the desire to operate effectively across organizations and customersExperience in region sell-through partnerships with PC OEMsExperience in sell-out and go-to-market with OEM regions and channel partners in Asia Pacific, Japan and China regionDeep knowledge and experience in building complex financial models that create win-win situations for Qualcomm and our customersAbility to identify emerging opportunities and proactively engage in pre-sales activityProficient and detailed understanding of supply chain, product development and marketing of compute products such as notebooks, Chromebooks, and tabletsExperience in negotiating and managing MDF and component pricing with large consumer electronic OEMsAbility to communicate, educate and evangelize both internally and externallyGood communication and interpersonal skillsCreative problem solving with strong analytical skillsSelf-motivated and result-drivenMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree and 8+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience.ORAssociate's degree and 10+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience.ORHigh school Diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering, technology or related business fieldMaster’s degree in business or technology preferred10+ years in sales, business development, product management or related work experience2+ years in a leadership role15+ years in product marketing, sales, or product management in the PC industryQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer. $201,000.00 - $301,000.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
