Responsibilities
Solve user problems with your product/UX design toolkit and help the company deliver a scalable, accessible, and delightful experience for developers in the crypto ecosystemCollaborate and communicate with product managers, engineers and designers to understand user needs, technical feasibility, and acceptance criteria for design tasksCreate storyboards, wireframes, lo-fi sketches, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs to meet needs of different stages of the product life cyclesEffectively address the diverse problems we are aiming to solveParticipate in collaborative design-thinking sessions, design sprints, and design critique/review sessionsConduct, participate in, and analyse user research and usability testing results to validate assumptions and inform design directionBalance usability and “don’t make me think” principles with complex data, scalability, and transparency design values, advocating for these as neededArticulate design decisions, learnings, and solutions to cross-functional team members
Requirements
1-3 years (mid/intermediate level) of experience working as a software product designerA deep and diverse portfolio that demonstrates complex problem solving with innovative design solutions in an end-to-end product design processAn iterative and experimental approach to product design that learns from real users and releases oftenProficiency in prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, and PrincipleThorough understanding of design systems and experience working with and applying themBasic knowledge of blockchain and the ability to design a product with technical and product complexityAbility to work collaboratively and inclusively with a remote teamEffective and efficient written and spoken communication skillsWillingness to work in the trenches doing everything from greenfield product design, website design, and even marketing materialsUnderstanding of customer experience and the relationship between brand and product designYou are growth-minded, collaborative, and can enjoy some amount of ambiguity, autonomy, and freedom to experiment
Potential Skills
Experience writing accessible and scalable HTML/CSS using TailwindCSSExperience working inside of ReactJS or basic JSExperience leading UX research studies (facilitating interviews, usability studies and/or focus group sessions) and analysing resultsExperience leading the building and maintenance of design systemsAbility to facilitate remote design thinking workshopsActive use of decentralised applications and blockchain technology for true insights into the space
