Position Description

The Institute currently seeks a Program Assistant to join our Communications team. This staff member will be responsible for a wide range of duties including, but not limited to, the following:

Monitor and maintain IIF press lists within CRM database.Monitor and track media mentions of IIF and assemble daily press clips for internal staff email.Develop and disseminate all notifications of IIF research and analysis to media.Support the drafting and placement of pitches, press releases, op-eds, and other written content as needed.Support media interviews by drafting briefing documents and helping to compile approved talking points, staff select interviews.Develop and maintain talking points on IIF positions and statements on key topics.Track earned media and ensure accurate metrics reporting.Manage general editorial calendar for IIF X and LinkedIn accounts and support executive visibility planning for select executive accounts.Develop and schedule all social media content related to IIF research, advocacy or events.Coordinate one-off, relevant posts with appropriate staff, as needed.Prepare social media content and guidance for staff, members, event sponsors, etc. as assigned.Develop and send press invitations for IIF events.Register members of the press for IIF events.

Requirements

Applicants should have a college degree and at least one year of professional experience in a related field. Candidates must exhibit strong command of the English language, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment; work in a very fast paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Have a high degree of professionalism, strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to communicate and act with tact, judgment, and energy. This role will require occasional evening/weekend work. Lastly, preferred experience with CRM and email marketing platforms, Hootsuite, and Meltwater.

Work Environment

IIF is pleased to provide its staff with a hybrid work environment: staff members are currently required to work in the office Tuesdays through Thursdays but have the option of working remotely on Mondays and Fridays
