As a Marketing Designer for the Content Development Department, you will develop visual solutions for our in-house marketing promotions, website, email campaigns, and social media sites that effectively promote our product and reinforce our brand identity. This is a production position including designing, editing and tracking multiple deadlines while producing creative designs in a team environment.Primary Responsibilities:Design and edit email, web and social media graphics that align with our brand identity.Create logos, labels, designs, and product packaging.Collaborate within creative teams to develop design concepts.Self-proof and edit graphics/projects to Fire Mountain Gems and Beads standards.Amend, revise or redevelop designs in response to feedback from peers and management.Become familiar with Fire Mountain Gems and Beads products, the customer base and our competitor’s activities.Keep up to date with popular culture and fashion trends related to the industry, as well as graphic design standards and tools.Interact professionally and effectively within your team as well as other departments in order to create effective graphics for campaigns.Maintain a high level of confidentiality, using appropriate discretion at all times.Perform additional functions and support for Content Development projects as assigned by department management.Essential Qualifications:Associate’s degree in Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.2+ years professional design experience preferred.Proficient with Windows operating system and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Exceptional attention to detail and high level of organizational skills.Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment of constant change.Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally and respectfully communicate with all staff levels of the company.Production experience and knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign a plus.Eager to learn and willing to suggest process improvements.Ability to work as part of a team to motivate, coach, and achieve common goals.Core Competencies:Functional/Technical Expertise, Active Listening, Initiative, Integrity, Technical Savvy, High Standards, Results Orientation, Drive, Creativity, Learning Agility.Physical Demands:Ability to remain in a stationary position 90% of scheduled work time with extensive computer use.
