As a UX Designer on the Connected Technologies team, you will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Manager - Mobile UX Design, to maintain daily communication with Feature Planners and Scrum Masters to understand business goals and translate those into design concepts and prototypes.This position requires customer-focused thinking and the ability to be hands-on. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is highly detail-oriented and takes pride in their deliverables.What you'll be doingCollaborate across UX teams, product teams, product owners, and other groups to understand business requirements and propose innovative solutions that create customer value.Lead complex projects from beginning to end as a subject matter expert to align with stakeholders and ensure optimal UX with on-time delivery.Manage product delivery, including active mitigation of risks, status updates to various audiences, and facilitation of planning within the team development.Close collaboration with the engineering team to ensure that design concepts are feasible and implemented in a consistent manner with prototypes.Contribute new components to the Toyota Design System that enables rapid and scalable design in the future.Provide regular updates to management (up to VP) about the status of projects and how the voice of the customer is being integrated continuously.Work closely with the in-house research team to ensure that Mobile UX is in line with customer expectations and exceeds industry standards.What you bring5-10 years of experience in UX Design or a similar design fieldPortfolio showcasing deep level UX and visual design mastery for real-world productsDemonstrate and be able to speak to your strong understanding of end-to-end design, including information architecture, usability testing, layout, typography, and visual hierarchyExperience managing projects with limited oversight as an individual contributor across distributed teamsQuality delivery of end-to-end digital solutions.
