MARKETING SPECIALISTOVERALL OBJECTIVEResponsible for planning, development and implementation of marketing strategies to generate higher levels of company business.SALES ATTAINMENT/SALES GROWTHDevelops marketing plans in order to achieve agreed sales and area development targets and ensures their implementation among all concerned.Monitors sales performance of the products, undertakes regular analysis of performance against targets, and recommends appropriate measures to the BUM to ensure consistent high level of productivity.Provides the Logistics Department the necessary sales forecast together with the SM in order to ensure availability of stocks & other collaterals to ensure adequate inventory.Conducts regular product trainings to Technical Sales Specialists (TSS’) & Key Account Managers (KAM’s) to ensure proper product knowledge thereby generating sales.Gathers competitive intelligence & monitors competitive activities and formulates countermeasures.Collaborates with the Procurement group to process orders under Ariba.MARKET SHARE/EVOLUTION INDEX (CEESA)Formulates plans, strategies and tactics to meet market share/evolution index targets & CAGR.Develops and ensures effective implementation of sales promotions/marketing programs to achieve desired market share, including conceptualization and development of peripherals (brochures and flyers), technical mailings, give-aways, promotional materials, greeting cards and gimmicks to generate a wider client base and increased market share.Conceptualizes and recommends appropriate campaign themes for the organization’s intermediate and long-term promotional activities.NEW PRODUCTSRecommends and evaluates, together with the BUM, products for introduction and how to position these products to generate the expected sales contribution.Leads the development and execution of appropriate marketing plans and product launch to gain target share of the market.PROFITABILITYPrepares and secures approval of the expense budget (PPE) in support of the BU’s operations and activities.Monitors expenses to ensure absence of negative budget variances related to operating expenses.Qualifications/HierarchyEducational Degree: DVM preferred or animal health related degree. Will consider marketing degree especially with background in animal health marketing work.Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in doing animal health marketing related work; experience in poultry vaccines will be an advantage.The Marketing Specialist will report directly to the Business Unit Manager (BUM).Employee Status:
