By integrating technical expertise with creative problem-solving, Design Specialists help ensure that projects are not only functional and safe but also aesthetically pleasing and cost-effective. We have an incredible opportunity in our Civil & Land Development Practice Area for a talented Design Specialist in our Bend office location! You will collaborate with civil engineers to develop sustainable designs for multiple projects in the built environment. The Design Specialist is responsible for performing straightforward design services using CAD software for a variety of moderately complex civil engineering projects and disciplines. The person in this position is expected to exercise a strong work ethic, have a desire to learn new design concepts, and have excellent organizational and communication skills. A Design Specialist 1 should demonstrate full proficiency with drafting fundamentals and be able to efficiently apply 2D and 3D design concepts. This person is expected to work well with others, absorb and apply constructive criticism, and seek guidance from more experienced members of the team as necessary. This position works under the guidance of a licensed professional engineer.Job Responsibilities and Duties
