Join us and discover why Modern Healthcare Magazine named us in its “Top 100 Places to Work.”Overview:The Director - Creative Services (aka Creative Director) is primarily responsible for ensuring that all creative content best represents Mercy’s brand and supports the ministry's strategic goals. It is very much a people-oriented job, involving development of concepts for print design, video, web and interactive projects. This is a ministry-wide position and involves working with internal and external clients, pitching ideas and collaborating with the brand team to create, evolve and support brand strategy. The Creative Director is required to develop creative concepts, recruit and manage third party design firms, production agencies, writers and internal creative resources.This position requires a deep emphasis on Visual Design and Art Direction; the successful candidate will in essence, be a hands-on creative that excels at conceptual and visual design.The Director - Creative Services also serves as a team resource for consistent application of the brand and identity platform, shares strategic growth goals with the Integrated Marketing team and ensures Mercy Values are reflected in all aspects of the department’s operations and performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Qualifications:Education Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in Fine Arts/Graphic Design, Advertising, Business Communications or related field.Experience Requirements:

7+ years of experience leading a creative process and workflow.5+ years managing a team of direct reports.

Skill Requirements:

Must possess a thorough understanding of industry best practices.Knowledge of layout, graphic fundamentals, typography & limitations of print, video and digital.Must have the ability to supervise and train co-workers to improve processes that include organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments.Strong understanding of print, radio, paid search and video production process from project initiation, planning, budgeting through final production and trafficking.Must be fluent in project management tools (Adobe Workfront preferred).Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Must possess strong organizational skills, a passion for creative work, integrity and high energy.Must be a self-starter who can work independently when necessary.Must be able to communicate clearly and in writing.Must have strong sense of corporate brand and visual identity.Must exhibit a can-do, problem-solving attitude and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressured, evolving environment. Displays creativity, flexibility, risk-taking, teamwork and dependability.Meticulous attention to detail.Possess a high degree of integrity and moral character.
